I am Jenean! I love balanced planning by design! For those of you who love Hobonichi and all things stationery like me, this is a great place for us to connect! My Balance Matters Method will be revealed after my introductory Hobonichi Haul from Yoseka Stationery. I am a functional planner, using my planners to achieve short-term and long-term goals as well as to target personal behavior change for new behaviors I aspire to have while eliminating unhealthy behaviors.

You are killing all your goals!! I am so excited to start the budget by paycheck with you. The accountability factor will play a huge part for me. It’s always easier when you have someone to keep you motivated and encouraged.
The journal prompt challenge was so unexpectedly making a big difference !!!! I don’t know if you saw the clip of the amazing boxes ! Instead of buying stuff I am paying just any kind of amount off my credit card debt /now I am getting used to not shopping and come to think of it -my hands are busy writing ✍️ not clicking on shopping !
I have a hard time with planner consistency too. I’m so tired after work. I need to start building new routines because journaling is helpful for our mental health and I love looking at my entries when I’m done! 😊
Kelly, something very magical is happening with my relationship to my planners ❣️ I think it took me 3 weeks of pushing and now they just feel like a part of me -an extension of me …very interesting challenge! @kellys9584 so many new habits - i have stopped starbucks, amazon, grocery shopping where i spend $200-300 in a week -i am being frugal -and i am cooking almost everyday after my early morning 2 mile walk -and I am sitting with my planners and writing in the evenings for more than one hour while watching television with my son…and i am being more adventuresome and doing something out of routine something everyday which is just putting a smile on my face despite the sad of my mom …and all you are just bringing me so much joy! 🤩 so thank you 🙏 💗🌸💗🌸💗Jenean

Hi Jenean, Lucy here! I havent seen the Wolverine/Deadpool movie yet. I definitely want to go with my brother to see it in the theatres! I just love movie theatre popcorn, its hard to resist for sure. 🤭I also gotta admit that I love some pretty bad drinks like iced coffee and soda, especially coke and rootbeer. Maybe I should try the challenge you did for diet coke to get me off of the ones im crazy about lol. Good morning! It’s so good to see you this morning! It’s so hard to not snack at the movies. Soda is my downfall and I can’t help but have some when I have popcorn and at the movies it feels like you’re doing it wrong if you don’t have popcorn…. Sigh. But Deadpool and Wolverine was spectacular so I’m glad I did it. 😂 I would love to snag that notebook. Hi Jenean, Lucy here! You and your daughter looked so nice in that picture! Also, thank you for another awesome video! I feel like im always getting something good out of your videos. Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us 🥰 Also, my boyfriend and I would love to one day visit Japan as well!!! I hope that you are able to go with your son next year like you hope to. 🍀🍀Also, regarding saving money: an idea that i learned last year was to cash out 20 every time you get a work paycheck and just put it in an envelope and leave it there. Like dont even track it or anything. As long as you make sure you cash 20 for every paycheck and dont think about it after, itll help to make sure that its out of sight and out of mind. Then at the end of the year, youll find that you saved about 520 i think. I like this because it'll make sure that I have that money to spend for Christmas gifts at the end of the year! Not that I spend that much on gifts, but i find this method might be helpful because its kind of the opposite of what we usually do for saving money (which is to save money for things we need in the future). Instead you can save the money for fun money in the future! I havent started this yet, but I definitely will give it a try for next year. Also, i will email you later today, I always make it to the end of your videos lol,☺ but I also have a few questions regarding learning Japanese. I want to get started on learning this new language, but am not sure how to. Ill email you!💐🥰💓

First of all, I want to say I love that you've been putting quotes throughout your videos, love it!! 🥰Also thanks for sharing your 5 year hobinichi planner 😉I have a 5 year journal that is meant for prayers, but I havent started it yet because i dont trust myself enough yet to make sure I write in it every single day. And I dont want to have to backlog too much. So Im still figuring that out lol. Also, can you please send an Amazon link to your favorite pen that you mentioned? I love that you said it dries fast so you can highlight and it wont smudge, I'd love to try it out!! Its also exciting that youll be starting junk journaling. Ive been thinking about doing so as well, but dont know how to get started. I'd love to share that journey with you too! Your videos are fantastic! The good news is you don’t have to be super techie to have a UA-cam channel! ❤ also, I wish I was using all my planners… I’m trying! I have a Hobonichi weeks mega that is just being neglected😭 but I am pretty consistent in my sterling ink weeks. Also, have a Sterling Inc. B6, which I love because it’s like the Hobonichi cousin but it is a little smaller. I have the moleskin daily because I really thought I was going to do like a highlight a day but I’ve been using that sporadically. I also have a pocket rings for finances, a personal ring for reference and stuff about my mom’s medical etc. and I have one big master planner that governs all the planners and I use that for tracking my work as I am self-employed, and I use it for tax purposes. 🥰

You know what is happening to me -at first i was forcing myself but now that I am getting reinforcement out of tracking the changes to my behavior from the planner itself, i am starting to seek it out rather than a “I have to “ it is now li want to write” because I have so much good news! I am NOT interested in the planer. I have too many already!!! You've shown up in my feed lately. I think it's me searching on Hobonichi planners 😂 I'm glad I found you! I love journaling prompts, but I almost never use them. As for the thai icea tea, it's normally an assam black tea. Not usually smoky but malty or caramel-like. I can see how that can taste like a campfire though. I love thai iced tea (and thai iced coffee too)! TFS!!!

Thanks for sharing! Love all your planner videos! They help me to make sure I'm staying on top of mine too! And they are definitely helping me figure out a system, which seems to always be changing for me. But im trying to sit and figure out what actually works for me. I have been trying to decide what type of everyday carry to use and I have been going between passport and pocket sized chunky notebooks. Just hard to find covers that I think are good for for them. But thank you for sharing your supplies and your progress and journey through your planning and goals and journaling! Also, I always stick around to the end of your videos! I just feel I wouldnt get much use out of that particular planner you're generously giving away. Im sure someone else will love it more!
