So it does depend on the situation. In this case, he failed to block you properly. However, had he shifted his stance he could’ve locked your wrist without you hitting him, and then gotten either a nice overhead blow in, or twisted to the left to pin your arm further and idk, go for a disembowelment? It doesn’t have too much of an effect here in knife fighting, as blades are all about leverage. Backhand gives you better leverage at downward blows and pulling slashes, while forehand is better at upward blows and slashing sideways. But again, if you know how to block the knife, it just comes down to who’s the better at grappling.
Good comment! Some unique factors in this case is I'm much taller than my opponent with longer reach. Point up adds additional range and point down subtracts potential range. Probably be subject of a future video, since if I addressed every little variable I'm thinking of it would take multiple paragraphs lol
@@Dunkelfight yeah I had a hard time not writing more than just this. Oh and you being taller with longer reach does kind of make it easier for you, since you would have better leverage in a grapple and overall, as demonstrated here, would get to him first.
So you killed him….
Im 16 and i own a machete its fir protection because i live in London but yeah machetes are dangerous
