This is excellent, and even more powerful when you know the person. Nice work.
Thanks Randy. So many stories to tell.
Man, I have had those days of working at an agency with older equipment and you having to be your own best back up. But we had to get the work done. Two decades later, policing has really changed to include the grit officers need to get the job done. Stories like this will help new officers understand, no matter where you work or what gear you have, you have to get the job done. Be safe.
That blue line gang flag made me puke, the content of the video isn't bad tho.
@@Hidronatir Thanks for watching!
Sounds like a great idea. Looking forward to your weekly stories. Came over via Skip Smith. Have a great day.
@ResslerMania Thanks, Ressler. Next episode drops today!
Here due to Skip's recommendation. Stayed to hear Jim's entire story. My deceased husband was a Detroit cop. Definitely not an easy job.
Found my way here thru Skip, My son in law is a retired NYPD LT. ….Difficult job to say the least, Good luck with your vlog, 🙏🏽❤️🌲

Skip sent me..🚑🚓🚒
Me too.
This was sent to me by someone who thought I needed to see it. After processing it all.. I want to say that I am not here to "plead my case" nor to throw anyone under the bus. I am simple here to share some words as a "Cops wife". When you marry a police officer, you ALSO marry their job. You go through the ups & many downs that follow their career. Your lives are different than the "average" middle class job. You have to be vigilant on a daily basis, your looked at differently, sometimes judged, as well as your children. I was with Jim throughout his entire career of being a PO (other than the 1st 1/2 of his probation period) I was supportive through it ALL!! Promotions, awards, when he was under cover & having to up & leave during dinners, family events, threatening phone calls that were made to ME & comments that were made to our children in school, Our home being targeted, civil lawsuits, I could go on & on these are just a few....When he came home after an awful day, whether it was a disgruntal person he dealt with on a call or a death he witness or had to tell the family... us wives go through it too!!! It's not easy. Jim & I both came from "unbroken" homes. My parents still married today after 64 years, and his parents were married until his mother was taken (too soon) due to cancer. Neither of us knew what it was like to be a product of a "divorced" family. When we married (1993) I took our vows very seriously and committed everything to our marriage, I NEVER thought I would be divorced, I "THOUGHT" we had an ideal marriage, a true partnership!! We did everything together!! We eventually created a wonderful family of 3 boys... our world was complete! I can honestly say Jim was a wonderful provider & worked hard to give me & the boys a wonderful home, the boys were able to play in travel sports & I was very fortunate to be a stay at home mom to be with them while they grew up until I returned to work when they started school full-time. (I am forever grateful for that time to be able to spend with my boys) We were (as Jim stated) known in our town as "the perfect family" we were all involved in the community & schools, everybody knew who we were. Fast forward... Our 2 older boys had graduated from HS, and our youngest was a senior... then thats when our world was completely flipped upside down, the rug taken from underneath us (My boys & I). Jim & I didn't really argue.. I mean of course there were disagreements, but our boys never really saw any arguing that they ever felt our marriage was in jeopardy. To my knowledge, I tried to be there for him, always listened, I offered to go to counseling, attend church with me, I had no idea why he thought he couldn't talk to me & felt the need to go "elsewhere" to decompress. We continued till the day I asked him to leave telling each other we loved each other , he kissed me goodbye before shift or before leaving the house ALWAYS! The main point I want to make from this comment is to all/any active PO or even retired... have the courage & decency to tell your wives or significant others if you are feeling indifferent about your relationship/marriage or are tempted to cross the line, BEFORE you do.. we have stood by you through it ALL and also deal with it, we don't deserve to be blindsided by infidelity!! It has caused me to have also a form of PTSD that has affected my life immensely (as well as my boys in their own ways) Our lives have forever been changed, we are no longer a "whole" which I thought I would never encounter. I love with my whole heart and that was taken for granted, and our boys were hurt along the way. I wouldn't wish this situation on anyone!! I had "Faith, Fitness, Family & Friends" that got me through the toughest days... Last words... Don't look to blame people or situations for your actions!!! WE are in charge of our own action & ALWAYS have a CHOICE!! I am glad & happy for you Jim that you have finally found peace in yourself.
Great content. Glad to hear bad leadership being called out and someone being humble enough to call themselves out.
So proud to call you friend. You're on the path you should be brother!
Thank you for sharing your experience, strength and hope with us. I am very impressed with your spiritual growth since retirement.
Very Powerful! I’ve known Jim for about 7 years. To accept the responsibility for all that has happened is impressive. Being able to see, in retrospect, that he was in such a bad place, is still very difficult. I know, I’ve been there too. Last time I was able to spend time with Jim, we had a short but meaningful conversation about life. I respect his current path and am overjoyed that he has found what was needed in his times of need. Jim, stay strong! Continue on your given path. The world needs men like you……..
Love this
It's nearly impossible to share 26 years of experiences in an hour. Jim does an excellent job and he shares some incredibly personal things. If you appreciate his honesty and willingness to share, please let him know by leaving him a comment.
Awesome! ❤
Yes! This NEEDS to be told! Please know that these men and women have GIVEN UP their day to day job to GIVE to the AMERICAN public. They are HEROES. I am a regular citizen. No police in my family. But COMMON SENSE tells me that we need, now, more than ever, to honor those who PROTECT all of us. Picture a scenario WITHOUT their help? JUST TRY? For the bad guy/girl perfect! For the good citizen,CHAOS! You choose.
Love this. Cannot wait to hear the stories!!
Thank you for the support Carey. Episode 3 drops later today.
Love the shorts waiting for the full story..
Are they going to tell how they violated everyone's rights?! And Lie about shit to ruin good people's lives.
Can’t wait to watch these!
Thank you for your support Heidi!
We no longer give a f**k about cops bc we're sick of you guys acting like gang bangers or the Gestapo..
I go by what I see ,
Looking forward to Officer’s stories being shared.
Excited to hear the entire story!
Great idea for a platform for retired LEO's. Can't wait to hear the stories!
