Conditioning to mental captivity does not always originate in childhood. Sometimes, captivity comes at a later time or springs up from outside the family unit. For example, in high-control romantic relationships, peer pressure in friend groups, hostile work environments, academic settings, or in groups associated with governmental authority figures. In fact, being radically manipulated by extre...

Exposing Real-Life Stories of Manipulation and Emotional Abuse | Ep. 7
I was married at a young naive age to someone who slowly became this and sabotaged everything in my life. I escaped finally at 53. 10 years of deep intensive therapy. I wish you had had a counselor and a victims advocate to help you get out. Womens shelters could have helped you. But I know what being under the “spell” and its all you know. School Counselors need to be trained in this to help with planning. The pie- could have been taken to poison control and analyzed and then had them arrested and a file at police department and domestic violence advocate who can help people create files. This is domestic abuse. It is cult control behavior and grooming to tolerate. There are detox plans for people who have been part of these toxic systems. I understand that the nervous system becomes paralyzed in fear from their paranoid and overbearing control tactics. It is straight our of ancient chinese texts on how to control people. I am glad you are out. These people are incapable of changing. It is most definitely Programming. Thank you for sharing.
Much love and respect. Been there. Don’t look back…..you’re not going that way.
This is EXACTLY what I’m going through RIGHT NOW
I’m so sorry you’re going through this right now. Please stay strong and remember you deserve to feel safe and heal ♥️
I’m so proud of you and happy that you recognized this abuse. I think the cognitive dissonance is the hardest part!! Sending love and light!!
I smile because if i show how much it hurts it leads to me having to comfort them for my pain.
I planned my escape for two years. I finally made it out, 8 years later I am reeling from this painful life. Thank you for sharing your story.
I'm glad you are free now. It takes so much courage to make it out, and healing is definitely a process. I'm sorry you're still feeling the weight of it, but know that you're not alone. Stay strong ♥️
Woah, that was inciteful and hit a little to close to the bone. It is going to require some serious contemplation. As usual - excellent epiode
Thank you, I appreciate it. And I'm sorry that you went through any of this 🫂
I like your video, its so true Narcissist people have very low self confidence and its a personality disorder that cannot get cure or it may but they need to accept they need to get treatment,

love the vibes of this :)
Thanks! The light is actually from the place I’m staying and the candle is mine 🥹 I thought they looked so pretty and cozy together! 🥰
yay new podcast episode :)
I hope you enjoy it and find it helpful 😌
I think I identify with disorganized attrachment style! Even with the same person I now see myself going from extremely anxious to extremely avoidant. Is this even possible??? It feels kinda.. well, disorganized! But seriously this episode helped me understand more about myself and hearing about different attachment styles separately made me realise how much ambivalence (like you said) is in me and my actions. Great episode, thank you for this and glad to see you back!
Thank you for your thoughtful comment! I’m glad the episode resonated with you. About your question, yes! It’s definitely possible to shift between anxious and avoidant behaviors, especially in the context of disorganised attachment. That ambivalence and unpredictability can feel confusing but recognising these patterns is a huge step towards healing ✨💜
Now let’s dive into the discussion-I’m eager to hear your thoughts and experiences. Have you come across narcissistic behaviours in your relationships? What questions or insights do you have about the concepts we covered? Feel free to share and let's support each other 💜
Surviving narcissistic abuse and cult trauma can leave deep scars. Have you ever experienced survivor’s shame or found it challenging to adopt healthy coping strategies? I’d love to hear about your healing journey and how you’ve worked through these struggles 💜

Now let’s explore narcissism together. Have you encountered misconceptions or traits that seemed to come from someone's environment? Share your thoughts in the comments, and let’s discuss 💜
You are now welcome to share your real-life experiences on this topic. Have you encountered gaslighting, love bombing, or any of the other tactics mentioned in your own life? How did you handle it? Let’s learn from each other's stories 💜
What is your experience with complicated dynamics? Have you ever found yourself in the roles of scapegoat, enabler, or flying monkey? Have you ever confronted someone about their toxic behaviour? How did they react? Share your experiences in the comments, and let’s keep the conversation going 💜
Manipulation tactics can be hard to spot until it’s too late. Have you ever experienced any of these tactics firsthand? I'd love to read your thoughts or personal experiences. Let’s empower each other by sharing and learning together 💜
Let's support each other through these conversations. Have you experienced situations where things seemed perfect on the outside but felt completely different on the inside? How has your journey with trauma or healing unfolded? Feel free to share your experiences in the comments 💜

I think I fake it every day
One day you’ll make it 🫂
I'm glad you escaped at a young age. I'm still trying to figure out how to let go, and I'm 61 (and they're gone)!
Thank you for your comment. I’m sorry that you’re still struggling. It can be really hard to process everything that has happened to you, especially after decades of brainwashing and feeling like what happened to you was your fault. Just know that it wasn’t, and you deserve peace at last, and to treat yourself and enjoy life 🫂❤️🩹
Thank you for opening people’s eyes to this… Your story really resonated with me; and I know that you’re making people feel less alone in their situations dealing with individuals like these.. ❤
Thank YOU for watching. I'm sorry that you went through sometimes even remotely similar to this. I wish you all the healing ❤️🩹🫂
@@EgoNextDoorThank you kindly..Blessings!
@@EgoNextDoor I also wanted to post on here for anyone who is not familiar with the Mica Miller case #JusticeforMica. Please check out her story as well. Sadly, she is no longer with us. This story also shines a huge spotlight on narcissistic abuse in the church; and has gained worldwide attention. It is SO important to spread awareness about this now more than ever because we have the ability to do so. Stay strong everyone!
BOOM!!! I kept telling myself i would do fix it this time. This was on a daily basis
I hope you are free from that now and healing ❤️🩹
You mean woke 😂😂😂😂
It can also get you knocked on your butt, which will remind you where your limits really are.
Which is also an important life lesson 🙃
Fake it til you make it! Sounds crazy but I think it make sense. I like that you go more in-depth about this on that last podcast episode you posted here. Thanks for explaining 🩷💞♥️
I appreciate that! 💕
Interesting.
I had many narcissistic traits growing up, lucky it was not NPD because I've unlearned it through thoughtful introspection after fallouts and relationships ending. It was enough to convince me to change but I can imagine it wouldn't be for many... Yeesh
As an addendum I forgot to include - it gets worse! I never projected, I pointed out real flaws in people but that doesn't make it better. I know I wasn't projecting one of my traits because I didn't delude myself or warp reality. I was fully aware of self and others, just didn't care and acted with malice. Most of the time I knew exactly what would happen well before I spoke or acted, and proceeded anyway... What a little c***
It's respectable that you've taken the time to reflect deeply on your past behaviours and make meaningful changes. Self-awareness and the willingness to grow are significant steps toward becoming a better version of ourselves - most people with narcissistic traits do not care to be self-aware enough to change. Thank you for sharing your experience 💜
Thank you.
You’re welcome, thank you for watching 💜
Thank you for sharing your story 💜✨ it means a lot to so many 💜💜💜
Thank YOU for listening 😌 I do hope it helps many indeed ♥️🫂
Keep going 💜 ty for sharing

Aw, of course. You are so welcome ♥️
I love these videos, thank you so much for sharing this info, I think this way we can recognize some narcissistic patterns in people surrounding us and in ourselves too.
It is my pleasure to possibly be able to help. You are right, it's not only important to recognise these patterns in others but also in ourselves. I love how you worded it. Thank you for being here 💕
