And there's wild life in Efteling

At the time (1981) Python was the fastest, highest and longest rollercoaster in mainland Europe.

Efteling darkrides are better than Disney's, just for the lack of screens at Efteling (or the ubiquitous use of screens at Disney).

With small children and grandparents, I'd always choose Efteling. With teenagers, probably Disneyland Paris

Thanks for this great podcast. But very close to the Efteling is the theme park Toverland (I don't know if you've ever been there) with some fantastic roller coasters. Including Troy one of the best wooden roller coasters in Europe.

The lift hill is slow because there are 2 trains in the coaster when one is going up the otter train Come to 'the dock .

Everyone keeps saying that Villa Volta is the first "madhouse". But Bobbejaanland in Belgium used to have this absolute tiny and crappy ride of a spinning house while people inside would sit on a rocking bench. It was beyond cheap, but it was the most effective madhouse I have ever been on in my life. Since the house rotated a bit faster but it just kept going in one direction in one speed (and halfway it would start spinning in the other direction), there would be times where you weren't sure if your bench was swung toward one way or the other. 😄 There is a long video on UA-cam of Bobbejaanland in the 1980s that shows a few seconds of this ride.

I don't think they should bring back free entry without conditions. Free to anyone would bring crime and antisocial behaviour to the park, which is what it used to be when it was free. I do think thev should offer 1 non rider ticket with every 2 full priced entry paid, that's just 1 example. But a non rider ticket with conditions would be better than what they offer now.
