How To Tell If You Are An Alcoholic
www.new-freedom-addiction-treatment.com/addiction-treatment-stories.html
"You may be an alcoholic if..." sounds like the beginning of a Jeff Foxworthy joke, but it's no joke. Alcoholism is a progressive, deadly disease affecting about 10% of the population.
Anyone can be an alcoholic despite their gender, race, age, wealth level, education, intellect or knowledge. We alcoholics have differences in our brain that cause us to react differently to alcohol. It's just like an allergy. Some people can eat strawberries but some people get deathly ill if they even touch one.

Is It Safe To Quit Drinking Cold Turkey?
Переглядів 20 тис.12 років тому
www.new-freedom-addiction-treatment.com/quit-drinking-cold-turkey.html Is it safe to quit drinking cold turkey? That's a good question. Take a minute to watch this video or visit our website for lots of information about quitting drinking cold turkey. In short...it's pretty dangerous to quit drinking cold turkey if you have spent any significant time drinking. I drank for about 20 years. When I...
So many programs out there that promise you'll quit drinking from one day to the other and feel great for the rest of your life. Listen, Steffon Barkload's Quit Drinking Forever takes a lighter, safer approach which you decide to go with on your own terms. Best shortcut I go’ogled that took days to make me dislike the juice 100%
suggestions on tapering? Been drinking since I was 15, going on 40+ years. Normally 5 to 10 beers/vodka and sours a day. Mom passed away in June, and I've been dealing with a LOT of depression and anxiety, stopped going to work on July 1st, and just started sitting around the house ALL day drinking. I realize this is NOT good for me and would like to cut back, possibly quite all together, but reading about the withdrawals and possible DT's scares the ever loving fuck out of me. I've started to cut back on my own, won't touch a drop until at least afternoon, and try to walk away from the bottle by at least 9:00 pm. But have no CLUE what do do next. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Don't know that i can completely walk away from drinking right now, but do know I need to do something
Omg, it’s March of 2021 and I just found this video. Thank you! I have a 20 year relationship with alcohol. I need to get help. I try to quit thousand times on my own and I found out the reason why I’m having tremors today is because the medical term kindling, if I’m saying that right, is the reason why every time I quit -it gets harder and harder each time
How about a program that's designed to help your body recover its equilibrium, go through minimum withdrawal and simply slice cravings? Try looking up Steffon Barkload's web page, there is ONE of the MANY courses to make it conceivable.
Thanks a lot, it did help me to understand better! I've been drinking for 7 years now pretty much every hour while awake. I take a shot at work every hour, I work at Wendy's. The thing is I like to be buzzed, I just don't like to be drunk, as a matter of fact I actually really don't like to be drunk. I did quit for 4 months just to see if I can do it, no problem. Also, I just don't see any problems drinking to the feeling of being buzzed every hour, the only thing is I had to sell me car and ride a bicycle, but it doesn't bother me. I don't think I'm an alcohol, it's gotta be some kind of alcoholic gene to be one. I just don't like drunk feeling, but love the buzzed one.
Quitting gold Turkey is very dangerous for a true alcoholic..better seek medical help before you decide to stop
Thank you so much for this video!! I give you to discover step by step how to stop drinking without having impacts on your body tried with Sovallo Amazing Drink Fixer i have close of family who have experienced with this kind of problem thanks to that they have passed, many people love this guide.
Cunning and baffling . I drank only on the weekends and sometimes only one night . Cause I would have a bad hang over and depressed for a couple days . So not one form of alcoholic
Cannabis helps
That crow sounded like a badass! Haha. 27 years of abusing alcohol enough is enough time for a new life I'm ready for some clarity... some high-definition life.
"cracks open a naddy"
I stopped cold turkey for 10 days about 2 years ago and had no problems. I relapsed and got to the point of needing Valium to rid myself of the alcohol. Day 7 today :) stay strong people and don't be scared of the new healthy journey :)))
here's a few ideas for giving up booze quickly Try eating food while you are drinking - this cuts down the amount you drink. Take a break from drinking. Make a note of how much you drink, then you know if you are cutting down. Set yourself goals - don't make them too difficult at first. Choose one or two days or each week when you will not drink at all. Then, try to stop drinking for one week per month. (I discovered these and the reasons they work from Adoette Drink Plan website )
Surly you can't tag everybody as an alcoholic? There is surly different categories of problem drinkers.. I would class myself as a binge drinker as I can abstain for weeks at a time. I'm on 10th sober day at time of this post. As a matter of interest Will are you still off the alcohol?
Constance Connelley The problem is I can abstain for long periods of time..
@@constanceconnelley2877 were you drunk when writing this post? lol
I dealt with severe anxiety when I quit very recently. I had to go the ER twice in one week, because I felt like I was going to have a heart attack. I had been numbing my body with alcohol so long that when all the toxins were out of me, every sense was heighten. So my heart felt like it was racing, but it was only at 70 bpm when I was agitated and went back down to about 55 when I calmed down. I recommend to anyone going through some withdrawl to get a heart & blood pressure monitor as a helpful tool.

It depends how addictive you are to it
It’s not easy to quit drinking, duh. And with so many experts and methods that claim to have the answer, it’s discouraging to fall into the same trap over and over again. Just pick one method, using a website maybe like Steffon Barkload's Quit Drinking Forever, and stick with it no matter what.
If you is interested in quitting drinking the best success that ive had was by using the Sebs Magic Tactic (i found it on google) definately the best plan that I've followed.
I've been sober for 8 months so far and I feel great ! My wallet has gained weight in that time also . Sobriety is life changing in a stupid cool way !!!
The second week has been so hard. My body hurts and I have a cane right now.
My cousin quit cold turkey, we found her dead a week later. She said she was gonna drink water instead, apparently the water didn't help.
I tried that too the water pulls out all the toxins at once and it is too hard on an alcoholic. you get can get anxiety and a host of other problems it is not worth stopping all of a sudden i did 24 hours without a beer then my body told me i had to have a beer or else well i know when im feeling bad i better have a beer the withdrawal symptoms are no joke.
DON'T DO COLD TURKEY STOP DRINKING GRADUALLY CAN'T STOP COMPLETELY DRINK THE SAME AMOUNT THE SAME DAY YOU WERE DRINKING THEN THE NEXT DAY 25 ML LESS AND SO ON I TAKES MONTHS NOT ALL AT ONCE IT WILL KILL YOU
I was drunk every night for 11 years. i've been sober one year and my income has doubled, i feel great and 10 year younger. Best thing i ever did!
SinEp Forcerer That’s amazing!! Good for you. I am trying so so hard, I need to turn my life around. I’m excited!x
SinEp Forcerer hey there. I just sent a comment to you a minute ago. I don’t see it. Did I somehow lose it?
Buying a 6 pack of beer every night after work; alcoholic or not. I don't do this but knew someone who maybe still doesm
I Was what they (AA + Doctors) refer to as a "Boredom Drinker",Non Alcoholism retated abuse. where i only drank during boredom or stress,as a coping mechanism. Basically no different than a morning cup of coffee style routine and i never felt like i NEEDED alcohol. I Only felt like i wanted to get drunk. I'd skip days in between drink days, and repeat that cycle. you DO NOT Have to worry about Hallucinations or DT's with the Kind of Drinking i do..i'm currently going on 3 days of sobriety, trying for 30 days, then,if all is well, then i'll continue to stick to sobriety, for at least a full year to let my liver, and other organs (my health in general) recover. i've noticed my health has declined in the area of Balance..I'd feel like the floors were tilting underneath my feet daily, always lightheaded, legs felt like they were twigs,i always felt like my upper body was heavy and my legs were again, like sticks, like i was just hovering all the time. Bloating for most of my recovery time too. felt short of breath and weak because of. I Also noticed my blood sugar would fall and i'd get the sweats, shakes, weakness, felt faint. but this usually only would happen on and off for at most 5-6 days after quitting (my body recovering from the last hangover.) Anyhow,More over. I Started drinking when i was around 14-15 years old... the drinking wasn't everyday,it was more like every other weekend, sometimes longer, sometimes less. Then i remember not drinking for an entire year or so....but once i was around 17 & 18. i was buying 40's and drinking a LOT ! i never suffered from withdrawal. i was young and of course, withdrawal comes from years of constant intake, daily at best ! I'm almost 27 now,and i have quit multiple times and have gone weeks/months without a drop, but i'd wind up pulled into binges a lot. (a lot of alcoholism on my fathers side of the family.) pure pressure and the wrong friendships can lead you down a dark, dingy road to destruction.
After 40 years of drinking on a daily basis, I quit 4 days ago. I don't doubt that the 'cold turkey' horror stories are true, but I just wanted to say that I experienced very minor symptoms of withdrawl. Feeling great and appreciate all the folks on You Tube who have posted their inspirational stories. Thanks
John MDM how you doing I'm struggling with it mate
listening to others really helps me thanks for the vid
Hi guys hope you are all enjoying recovery. 4 years of sobriety loving life subscribe to my vids if you like them

Just gradually cut back? I used to drink a six pack of Milwaukee best ice, some wine/whiskey and sometimes more or less drink a day. I've been slowly cutting back and drink 2-4 tall boys of ice house right now, I think its best too gradually lower your consumption before you completely cut yourself off. I had an Incident at work where everyone thought I was having a heart attack(I'm fit in my early 20's and eat healthy and have no problem lifting/moving heavy shit) and felt like I couldn't absorb oxygen in my lungs, my limbs were also turning pale, before I knew it I was in an ambulance with some asshole telling me I had an anxiety attack, I believe it was actually from withdraw and have had similar scenarios. The messed up part is that this only happened when I was sober. Gradually cut back and save yourself time and money, the fucking ambulance bill alone was over $700 dollars and doctors may misdiagnose you.
First time I quit drinking I tapered off, extremely hard to do. I am currently starting to taper off again. I was sober for a full year and the biggest mistake I did was to just "try" to have a couple drinks....BIG MISTAKE.If I only knew I wasn't going to have DTs or a seizure I would be fine to quit cold turkey. I hope everyone the best in their sobriety.
99.99% you won't have a seizure :)

Wilson635 Be careful. Weekly binge drinking is still damaging
M Valentine i will do !
If you is interested in quitting drinking the greatest success that I have had was by using the Sebs Magic Tactic (just google it) definately the most useful idea that I've followed.
*My sober program has already helped many other people, after myself. That’s why I decided to share it [Check Details Here==>**plus.google.com/u/2/109305854848533008884/posts/HktWMiiL55R** ] with the ones in need, knowing that alcohol abuse is a bigger problem than we are aware. Try it!*
There are several components to giving up booze including eg motivation and support from friends. One plan I discovered which successfully combines these is the Adoette Drink Plan (google it if you're interested) definately the best idea that I've seen.Check out all the site and amazing testimonials.
Yes I am
You should ween off never cold turkey
Hey everyone, the greatest success that ive ever had was with the Sebs Magic Tactic (just google it) definately the most useful plan i've tried.
hi everyone ,if anyone else needs to find out about what is the safest way to give up alcohol try Skyarza Zero Drinking Star (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some super things about it and my mate got amazing success with it.
very helpful . thanks. my relative is doing cold turkey.. having symptoms
If you drink you are an alcoholic. It is that simple. The human body was not meant to ingest, metabolize, and process ethyl alcohol as a waste product. So any amount of alcohol consumption falls within the continuum of a harmful, progressively damaging, and life threatening behavior.
Scott Harvie Is it?
Scott Harvie your mistaken, many people drink and they are not alcoholics , its a matter of how your frontal lobes react to the drug that determines if your a alcoholic or not
So true. I am a foodaholic and I can relate to what you are saying. On the converse alcohol and drugs are like punishment to me, although I have never tried drugs not even cigarettes and in the last 20 years I don't think I consumed more than 750 ml of alcohol and I think that number is an exaggeration. I just can't drink but food is my weakness. I am 60 pounds overweight
I wish everybody the very best in their pursuit of being sober, but I think it's important to point out that the information described in the description of this video is excessively unscientific. I think there is a certain accidental irony in your username Will. In any case, best wishes to all. Life without alcohol is beautiful. Mind over matter.
Aidan Parle getting sober is not a matter of mind over matter
I got tired of asking my wife why she was so mad. It was always, don't you remember what you said or did last night? She's still by my side thank God. I spent a week in ICU. Back to drinking in a week. That was about 5 years ago. Well, this summer I was back in ICU. This time I saw the devil. 4 year old daughter asking what and why. I found my 19 year old son. I have a lot to live for. If I drink now, it will kill me. My life is great looking through sober eyes. My wife is still with me. I am blessed.
Clayton Hightower God bless you on your journey! Others aren't so lucky to have a support group x
I drank 6-7 16 oz. beers a day 5 to 6 days a week. It's almost been a week of being sober & I am still feeling the withdraw. I sweat, shake, vomit & had a few audible hallucinations. I would have admitted myself but I am doing the best I can to see my family again. My Wife has a PO against me b/c of the way I was acting when I drank. God forgive me, I choose my family over alcohol. I can live my life without alcohol but I cannot live with out my Wife & children.
Yes, this can definitely work, we all can be fairly intuitive about this. However, if you're struggling and can't "find a way" check out Steffon Barkload's website for a few suggestions that don't depend on medicine, groups or judgy people.
how many Years were you drinking ?
Chainsaw Wielding Maniac ive been drinking for 7 year up to half pint a pint a 5th it's my 9 day of no drinking I rarely sleep ,sweat n a cold room, bad headaches throughout the day daily since i stopped ,seeing hearing voices and feel bugs crawl on me when nothing is n anxiety is bad
I drink 7 days a week. I've been doing this for a few years. I've probably been sober 10 days in the past 2 years. I am going to try cold turkey again starting today. God bless you on struggle. I know how it is.
I\'m not sure but ,if anyone else wants to discover best way to quit drinking on your own try Sovallo Amazing Drink Fixer (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my mate got great results with it.
Not certain about the points made but ,if anyone else wants to learn about how to quit drinking on your own try *Debuncar Instant Speech Aid* (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some great things about it and my colleague got amazing results with it.
Very interesting! thank you for sharing...however high functioning alcoholics often joke or find excuses whenever you address this topic...they make you think that you are just a control freak...they associate the best moments in their lives with times when they where drinking and consider a party without alcohol impossible...how to deal with these attitudes?
