Thank God we are able to recall fond memories of these absolutely incredibly God gifted talented performers! String Bean, Grandpa, Roy Clark, Bobby Thompson! We were truly blessed to see these folks. So sad that they are gone and may they rest in peace! I don't think we will ever see such talented claw hammer banjo pickers ever again! 😢😢
You are absolutely right! It was so horrific what happened to String Bean and his wife. I couldn’t imagine how Grandpa Jones felt when he found their bodies the next morning! It’s awful what some people will do to try and get their hands on someone else’s money or property. It’s so sad those wonderfully talented people are gone, but I imagine they’re up in Heaven picken’ and a grinnen’!!! 💕💕💕🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💕💕💕
I grew up to this show my father would watch it every Saturday night I was introduced to All the greatest singers IL be 52 Monday and I still watching and listening to.this great music
Hee Haw was a great show. You could never make that show again because by the time they got is cast you wouldn't have any real pickers and players but you would have a couple gays, some transgenders, and a range of other quota hires and the Hee Haw Honeys would be a bunch of guys in drag.
What a great group of entertainers! Grandpa Jones and Stringbean played the old clawhammer style of banjo. Roy Clark and Bobby Thompson played 3 finger style popularized by Earl Scruggs. Yet they blended well together. Scruggs replaced Stringbean in Bill Monroe's Blue Grass Boys. This was apparently before Roni Stoneman joined the cast. Talk about editing! How did Grandpa make it to the other set so fast? Also, could some of those ladies sit down in those short dresses?
Very nicely done ! 🎉
Love this !! What happened to string and Estelle took away the innocence of this. I'm so thankful to be able to watch these videos now.

String Bean is always close to our heart heart heart heart heart.....
I understood that reference! Well played.
He's a little tall for our hip pockets, though.
It's always something special to see Grandpa and Stringbean together.
They were best friends in real life. They fished and hunted together They even bought property together.
A tragic end for Stringbean.@@thelastjohnwayne

Never, ever will there be a group of pickers and singers as this group. Once in our lifetime we were given this privilege. Great pickers.
Who is the guy in the right on top of the picture...moustache, overalls and pink shirt clapping?
Gordie Tapp. He was from Canada and was on the Hee Haw show for many years!
@@rickdj Thanks.
Yes, both Gordie and Charlie F.(SP?) KORN came from Canada from Country Hoedown TV SHOW (later Tommy Hunter).
To simple for to days times

I really miss this sort of entertainment on tv. Today's tv is so disappointing. I can't even watch it.
It's horrible, I agree
I don't watch it! Its beyond bad an out of touch with a good life. Their purposefully try to drag people to hell.
Ese es Roy Clark creo
Yeah, ever since Jenny Lind passed, music has done been turble, turble.
Hugh, I don't even own a television anymore. Don't miss it a bit.
