Vulcan 900 with Cobra Dragsters vs Harley Davidson Softail Standard with Screaming Eagle exhaust
I too can appreciate a big pair of honed juggs.😁
Thats were im going next. Looks awesome.
It's quite the spot. I have another video of it where I rode the DR650 a few years ago. It has some good footage of the insane beach.
Subbed just cuz wtf was that intro 😂
Perfect! If u got a laugh then my work is complete.
The W800 reminds me of vintage Triumphs, great bikes with good looks.
They absolutely are and with all the reliability of Kawasaki
At 63 I am looking for my last bike. Your softail standard m8 has me thinking maybe will be a good fit. I don't like the baggers. Hey I used to visit our office in Fredericton a couple times a year. I love NB. coming in for a landing you really appreciate the wildness.
The Softail is an incredible bike my friend.
That was a good view. I love how the peaceful music stopped at the tunnel. A little chaos, then back to peaceful music. Rides are so like that. Brilliant vid!
Thank you so much for that! Not many people actually comment on those details. I really appreciate that. 😁
gotta keep in mind jap bikes are plastic so that keeps the weight down, so i wonder what the difference in the 1700 kawi and your bike is.
Hi keep up the good work
Endless what can b done to customize harleys
Did u end up down here or did the hurricane end that trip?
ya they look great on the side of the road lol
@@TheDarkestOne I understand that, as all the Harleys passed by me as my Vulcan shit the bed 😁
Ya that's a kawi thing. But look at the cam tensioners in the twin cam engine. They go so does your engine. Bike is immediately a giant paperweight for life. I can't remember how long the twin cam lasted but if you have a twin cam you should look into that. I believe it's a not if but when, thing.
@@TheDarkestOne ahhh shit it's all good. Mine is the single. But these bikes like all of em aren't bullet proof. Well..... I shouldn't say that, my DR650 was goddamn invincible. I kinda miss it, then I ride this and forget all about it. Every motorcycle has its thing. I really miss my Vulcan, I miss the DR. I can't wait to get another "woods" bike. They all break, but like anything in life, enjoy them when u have the time to enjoy them. Goddamn I wish I was rich, I'd have hundreds of them if I could because anything on two wheels is awesome..... even the stupid electric bikes have their cool points.
Nice to go for a ride
I'm getting that crackling sometimes with mic. Never had that issue with avting. Ever find out why?
It's due to the gain. I think I have it fixed for most of my newer vids.
Canadians dont fucking swear!! Ya get fucked bud.
Where is your other videos.did the fucking idiots deleted them because there pussys?? Lol
I have a 2006 Midnight Silverado, It sat on the showroom floor for about a year with the whitewall tires. I've put only 8k miles on it. I have to do a little carb work sometimes, but runs well, it's a big bike.
I put my dji mic inside my right hand saddlebag on minus 12, out picks up the exhaust sound perfectly, I have Vance and Hines short shots on my dyna street bob
Today is 7/31/24, just watched. By now you have probably learned why the pipes are so loud. People take some of the baffles out of the exhaust, which is probably what the previous owner(s) may have done. Kawai 900s are in my opinion unbeatable cruisers....
If they made the 900 with a 6th gear it would be a game changer.
I just bought one. A family friend bought it a couple years back, and he barley drove it (he’s an old guy). It’s been garage kept and very well maintained so I ended up buying it off him since he can’t ride as much. It’s going to be my first bike I’m pretty stoked
They are fantastic motorcycles. I had a lot of fun with mine.
The Stealership probably didn't fill it. All dont use oil.
Is it smoking/smell burnt oil? Ive logged +400,000 motorcycle miles, mostly on Evo's & TC Harleys. Not a one ever used oil until ~70-80K and needed a upper end? 100°F rolling out 700-1000 mile days running a buck all day long on blacktop. Some puked a little oil in the air cleaner from time to time when run wide open all day. But never consumed oil? Good luck brother.
Harley went woke, they can get stuffed.
Every company went woke. There is no escaping the stupidity that's going on now. Doesn't mean u have to embrace these companies bullshit but u can still enjoy their products.
I checked my oil for Harley Davidson's and none were found. Whew-wee. Dodged a bullet there.
Valvoline oil. Motorcycles. 10/40. Full synthetic. Valvoline upped their game. Helping to keep the engine cleaner and run longer. In all vehicles. Except diesel. Do the research on the brand. I am personally switching everything over to Valvoline.
Stupid is as stupid does... even buying a Hardley puts your mental acuity in question.
And what do you ride? A dick? Your response shows your mental acuity.
I thought the way you check oil in a H D was to look on the ground under it.
Give it time, this one is still going through the break down period. 😁
You can use any brand of oil you prefer, a synthetic 20W-50 is recommended. Local H-D dealer even offers a few other brands of oil as an option. Not sure if youre being mislead or have unreliable data in front of you. Curious if you are checking oil level properly. Have a 2019 M8, rarely do I need to add oil, if at all. You may very well have an issue, but something sounds off here. Hope you get it sorted out. Safe travels to you.
Whoa cowboy, read you manual or look it up. The oil that dry means it has gone down to the sump. Start you engine, let it run for about 30 sec. It will show up on the stick. If your unfamiliar with the bike, pull the plugs and start it for some cranks, listen for knocking. no knocking your good. Over filling will really mess up the engine. I have 116k miles on the bike and runs smooth.
She's good. I've read the manual. I'm thinking I solved the problem.
I run Amsoil in all my Harleys, I have never been told that I could only run HD Syn3 and I've been riding HDs since 2005. Syn 3 in an ok oil, but I tbink Amsoil or Lucas are superior oils. HD dealerships are required by HD to push HD products, that's why you find very few aftermarket products at dealerships.
You need to educate yourself before putting out a video. Harley does not use heavy diesel oil! 20W-50 syn is what it calls for. And any syn 20W-50 syn oil is good. Should run the bike a couple miles at least then check oil level. Harley is happy with oil half way up to full. If you keep it at full it will just push oil up the valve stems and back through the intake, which you don't want going back into the cylinders. I have a 2011 Electra Glide that just turned 155,000mi. I only put in a touch of oil at maybe 4500 mi, its getting changed at 5000
Check the owners manual, diesel oil is mentioned as a substitute if you need to add oil.
Thanks for saying it. Maybe Cecil needs to educate himself before making the comment. 😁
Sorry to offend you guys seeing how you know so much about engines. I was just giving my comment to try to be helpful. Being a mechanic for the last 50 years, I guess I don’t know any better. Diesel oil is 15 W 40 so it won’t hurt the bike at all. Diesel oil is formulated different so the viscosity is going to change at a different rate than oil manufactured for a gas engine Thing is going to maybe lower your fuel mileage because it’ll make the engine work a little bit harder but other than that it’s not going to hurt anything. I was just trying to be helpful. Diesel oil has a DCA additive which helps with anti-cavitation which you don’t have a problem with in a gas engine. but what do I know?
I guess I'm gonna have to pack some bags on this Harley..... Looks like I'm goin on a guilt trip. Lol 😆 peace buddy. Appreciate your comments. If your new to the channel, stick around. U will be able to see easily in little time I know nothing and am a complete asshole. Nothing on this channel is to be taken too seriously.
You sure you checked it properly? The oil could all be in the sump from sitting around. read the manual. Mine has to run 1st then check it.
She was running before I checked it. But now I have over filled it. So.... That's another noob problem. I will have to draw some out.
Don't have to change oil if it leaks all out
Funny you made that video,i own a roadstar 1600 and first time i bought it i didnt know you have to tcheck the engine oil when its running. I checked it like 5 times when it was not running it was bone dry. I panic and look on youtube and learned you have to check it with engine running. Fackkkkkkk
Really!?! When it's running? That's nuts!
Wow, I been doing it wrong for 50yrs? Crap.
needle vs arm
I have this same one as well as the action 4 camera. I have not done this yet but im going to put mine in a fanny pack to avoid vibrations, etc
Try it! I still haven't figured out what is best.
The mic picks up everything; exhaust, trans whining, wheel bearings.
Kinda neat eh?
Sounds græt
Well I appreciate the comment. This video took way way longer then I imagined it would, so thanks for this. One comment = worth doing. Thanks for watching!
I dont think i want to know what hes doing lol. I was there yesterday .beautifull city but alot of strange characters lol
That area is WACKO Capital!
Funny ride in a way, I can see why you like the vulcan. Keep you hands on the bars your eyes on the road, get you motor runnin, lookin for adventure born to riiiiiiide !
Im going there this week. Were is that bridge?
That's over in Kingston peninsula.
I own a 2006 vn900 classic. I LOVE IT!
I loved mine. Would have kept it but wanted more power. Kawasaki needs to make a big a$$ Vulcan again.
I never drop my bike unless I have an audience! 😜 We all know how it feels, just take it easy with calling yourself a loser. ✌️♥️
It's all good!
When below 15 mph just use rear brake unless it has to be a hard stop. As long as you have power going to the rear wheel or have adequate momentum the bike will never fall.
Your right. I got too comfortable with grabbing the front and stopped using the back as much. May need to adjust the rear brake position so it's easier to access.
Not if but when.. we’ve all been there. Don’t beat yourself up. Dropped my 86 FXR the same day I bought it new. Other bikers helped get upright and patted me on the back saying welcome to the club..
That's pretty much what happened here but it took a few years to do it. Thanks for the comment!
Low speed, rear brake is your friend.
Shit happens man , where in canada are you
Maritimes - Saint John. You?
@@greasycanadianbiker sweet im in stewiake ns
@@Two-Four-ln9eo right on!
Front braking to hard while handlebars are turned will make bike drop, rookie
Thanks! And yes it was rookie!
I've done that a couple times. Slow speed can be difficult. It's good to practice in a parking lot just doing tight turns.
Greetings from the UK. Good vid, I went looking at a street bob last week and was so disappointed with the seating position. Im 6ft 3 and as soon as I sat on it I felt like it would be torture on my legs and back. 🤣I was a bit gutted as I love the look of the bike, but after seeing this it may be the game changer. I like the fact that it gets a decent pillion seat too as I take my lad out with me occasionally. By the way, the standard pillion seat on the street bob is a joke, it felt like there was zero padding in it. Stay safe. :)
I found it helped me considerably. Remember too that u can get forward controls and or just get a engine guard with highway pegs. That way u can change your gears and brake ect.... But then just rest your feet further out on the pegs. I love Harley's.... they are Lego for adults!
@@greasycanadianbiker Thats what I like about Harleys, they have so many accessories to make the bikes your own. I currently have a 2010 triumph thunderbird 1600. Its my first cruiser and ive loved it over the past 18 months. But feel its now time to move on. My local dealer has a street bob in at £3200 off the list price, which is rather tempting. I do also like the look of the sport glide.
@@ttmadness34 Get the one that u can do the most with if your into that. That is why I got the Softail Standard. It's a blank canvas. I have zero regrets buying this bike.
Shit happens bro!
Shit did indeed happen! 😁
@@greasycanadianbiker- lmao 😂,, anyone with any amount of ride time has had a brain fart! And you’re absolutely correct,, you must pay attention at all times! I’ve dropped a bike or two ( dirt bikes and Harley’s ). You Are now officially an adult rider!!! 😂🤣😂🤣
That’s funny. Not because you did it but because I’ve done it. On a brand new Indian Springfield.
Awwww man! Any damages or did you get out lucky like me?
@@greasycanadianbiker I got pretty lucky My crash bar did scratch but it wasn't real noticeable.
