Throughout Better Call Saul I got caught up rooting for Jimmy all too often. Anytime there was a scene where Jimmy would play a scheme on Howard I would laugh along with Jimmy because I’d become used to this being their dynamic. But, it really took me seeing Howard get murdered to really zoom out and see that he really wasn’t all that bad. Only Vince Giligan could write a character so nuanced.
