    How do you balance variety for harmony Ma'am ? This is very challenging

    • @sketchime
      @sketchime 8 місяців тому

      I think we should add variety to the extent that it adds visual interest and yet keeps the design look cohesive. It's about adding flair without sacrificing unity. When the unity starts to get sacrificed, it's a sign for us to take a step/s back. While designing, I try to leverage it by thinking about the ideas I want to highlight. I shortlist 1 idea and use it to add variety. I add more if needed but that has to be purposeful. Adding multiple ideas in one design can create clutter instead of driving attention. Good designers work towards adding things that add value and knowing when to stop. I hope this was helpful.

  • @sagar_33333
    @sagar_33333 8 місяців тому

    I was not acquainted with this principle, somehow this principle looks like rhythm, please correct me mam.

    • @sketchime
      @sketchime 8 місяців тому

      Variety and rhythm design principles both contribute to visual interest, variety emphasizes differences, while rhythm focuses on repeating elements to create a sense of flow and continuity. Design principles are closely knitted and work with each other to enhance the outcome. I will release rhythm video today. I hope it will help you understand this better. And even post that if you have any questions, let me know

    How to improve design thinking and ideas

    • @sketchime
      @sketchime 8 місяців тому

      Observation, exploration and practice can help. Observe other designers' work and see what's one thing that's grabbing your attention the most. This will help in strengthening our sub conscious mind. Next explore new stuff related to design. It could be new concepts, terms, ideas etc. Try to use these in your projects. Pick any one of your explorations and use it as a theme for your design. And practice always improves a man :) Reading books helps a lot in developing our brain. I hope this was helpful
