How I make Ballroom DanceSport earrings with sew on crystals @Letsmakedancecostumes
You can make DanceSport earrings to match your dancewear and dance costumes. In this video, I use pear shape sew on crystals. Sew on crystals come in a variety of shapes, colors, and sizes. This is a great way to add to your collection of dance accessories!

Переглядів 6 тис.2 роки тому
I enjoyed finishing this custom dance costume. Fringe and rhinestones were all it needed to shine beautifully! I am sharing some of the steps I took to embellish this competition dress. Instagram: ta_designsllc
Hi! Did the large pear come with the small rhinestones on it already? Thanks!
Thank you, my daughter and I do ballroom and she is quite the fashionista.
Amazing work!!
Is that prestik on your orange stick? Please tell me what silicone you use? I don't even know where to get it
What kind of fabric is the skirt?
❤
❤❤❤
Lindo❤
Did you also use E6000 on gluing the fringes together?
Please can you let me know what silicone you are using for this please? ❤
Yes, what type of glue and how many of those "Voldemort" crystals did you end up using to cover that dress? Did you mix them with other cheaper ones for a more sparkly effect??
Hi! I only use Swarovski and Preciosa rhinestones. The bigger sew on shapes are Swarovski.
Yes, new agreements with Voldemort is why I said that. Where I get mine said they were really cracking down on the name use, so I have renamed them to Voldemort. You know , Harry Potter and "you know who"! What type of glue are you using please?@@Letsmakedancecostumes
Sorry, never mind about glue, I see it in the comment below.. Thanks!
Can you please tell me where I can buy the sew on rhinestones. I've looked everywhere for them and appliqué in us
Hi! Beautiful gown! What type of glue are you using?
Hi thank you so much! I use E6000 glue
I wish you had a full video with words and explanations. For example, what kind of sewing machine foot you’re using, how you’re folding over the fabric, type of thread, etc. Thanks!
Great suggestion! I used a narrow roll hem foot. zig zag stitch set at 5 for the width and 1.5 for the length. 100% polyester thread (Guterman)
I LOVE how the fringe came out with this! May i ask how glued the strands together? I'm currently giving this a try and just "dunked" the first couple strips into the glue, but am worried it won't stick together very tight.
Hi there thank you! I USE E6000 glue applicator glue applicator syringe. I hold the strands of fringe together and apply glue to the ends. Then I use my fingers to flatten the glue over the strands as if I'm pinching them together.
Thank you for sharing your fringe application process! I'm looking to recreate (a cheaper looking version of) Taylor Swift's 2014 VMA's Shake it Off performance fringe set and haven't been sure about how to apply the fringe to get that seamless, layered look. Will be using this video as I DIY! Thank you!
YAY!! I'm happy to hear that this will help! Good luck and have fun with your design!
How much fringe did you use in this design?
Hi there! I used 7 yards.
Lovely
What tool did you use to pick up Rhinestones? Did you use E-6000 for ends of fringe and did you do it on a plastic? Beautiful dress. Thanks for sharing all.
Hi! I used a wooden skewer (broke it into a smaller piece) and mounting putty. Mounting putty is great because it is tacky enough to pick up the rhinestones. I use enough to make a little ball to stick onto the skewer so I can pick up multiple rhinestones at a time. Yes, I used E-6000 for the fringe. I lay a piece of plastic on the table to set the fringe on as it is drying. Thank you Sharon!
@@Letsmakedancecostumes Thank you for your reply. Maybe you could do a video on the tool and how you glue the fringe. Is the fringe dipped in glue? Or lay fringe down on plastic and glue applied? When you pick up Rhinestones to you pick them up with crystal side up on flat side? I am visual and would love to see these applications.....
@@sssisland Those are some great suggestions, thank you I will keep that in mind!
May I ask what glue you use?
Hi! I use E600 glue for everything.
Beautiful!
Thank you so much!
