Weren’t there 2 eggs yesterday?

This is so precious, ty. This year with wildfires in Canada I found 3 dead baby birds, & tried to rescue a 4th, but too late. Did save a squirrel baby with help from friends.

I'VE HAD A PAIR OF BLUEBIRDS IN THE YARD SINCE THE SECOND WEEK OF FEBRUARY, PUT UP FOUR BOXES IN DIFFERENT AREAS OF THE YARD. THEY WERE IN AND OUT OF ALL FOUR, BUT HAVE SETTLED ON ONE IN FRONT YARD. THEIR FIRST SOURCE OF FOOD WAS A FEEDER WITH WALNUTS, BUT I HAVE SUPPLEMENTED THAT WITH BARKLING BEETLE LARVA. THEY HAVE BEEN PRACTICE NESTING FOR THE LAST TWO WEEKS OR SO. AS OF SATURDAY THERE WERE NO EGGS, AS WE ARE STILL HAVING FROST AT NIGHT. BUT BY THIS AFTERNOON THE FEMALE HAS ONLY LEFT THE NEST FOR TEN OR 15 MINUTES SEVERAL TIMES AND THEN RETURNED. SHE'S IN THE NEST FOR OVERNIGHT FOR THE FIRST TIME. I'M THRILLED BEYOND BELIEF.
