I didn’t know anything about nutrition when I was growing up. People don’t realize that most of the pro athletes now have had some form of diet when they were kids (3-13 years old) that gave them a foundation to build on. Which made getting faster and putting on muscle a lot easier.

Until very recently there has been no professional rugby in the US. Colleges having a rugby club instead of a school was the norm until about 10-5 years back but there have been a good number of people playing both sports. I am sure that there are other NFL players that have played rugby. If you go back in time I remember that Joe Theismann played rugby. If I'm not mistaken two other players on his Vikings team also played, one of his wide receivers and one of the "Purple People Eaters".
