Yarbo Yard Clearing - Torture Test #YarboTowShow
Hooked up my towable dethatcher to the Yarbo Y1 body
I was originally only planning to dethatch the front yard, but decided to do some testing to see how it could do at clearing leaves and limb debris that I neglected from the fall on the North side of our house.
It performed fairly well overall using the physical controller for the entire endeavor. Really looking forward to a more automated tow mode that's been mentioned for the future, but having the bot do it was definitely nice.
We'll see how it does with the aerator next. That will be quite a bit more weight, so interested to see if it can handle it!

      In that instance, it was using the pre-stacked print from Multiboard.io which has top layer ironing turned on, and that's it. That was with a PLA, which is why it was so smooth without needing additional fiddling. The PETG print I did later with 8 tiles did ok, but the bottom two layers were a bear to get separated. If you do a single layer of different material between, it is very clean. Overall, the speed of printing a single tile is faster for me by unit, so this is more for leaving a print running overnight instead.

    • @SwftSlntDdly03
      @SwftSlntDdly03 5 місяців тому

      I believe so, easily, yes. You can have it run as snow first starts falling if you're worried about snow type or accumulation. I'm sure different types of wet snow and such may have a little more effort for it involved than what we just had, but it seemed to do well when it would get 'hung up' on something and spin, to then slightly readjust of its own accord and try again. Most issues I had initially were just dialing in the settings for minimum auger height on pathways to travel to the driveway by passing through my yard. Broke a few shear pins that way. I also kept it away from the road initially for automation, but may expand that barrier a little further now that I've seen it work on auto for a bit.

    Imagine spending money on something that works 10x slower than a human and cost the same as 10 years of hiring professional yard crew, and 100 years worth of hiring the kid down the road to take care of your yard and driveway 🤣. I can understand your feeling behind it. I've had a Worx Landroid since 2019 which has freed up my Saturdays from mowing for years now. I get to use that free time and money saved for other things. I also like gadgets, and promoting attempts at growing technology. So I get enjoyment out of it either way. But 100% get not wanting to deal with the hassle they can be, or weighing the benefits vs. cost on your own setup! The cost now vs. what was on kickstarter is MUCH higher as of now, so It wouldn't be viable even for me at that cost!

      What’s the name of your lawn mowing company? Also what brand calculator do you use?

    • @hopinondeeznuts350
      @hopinondeeznuts350 6 місяців тому

      @@ccf310 I use my brain, you should try it. My yard at most needs mowed once a week for 24 weeks. At $40 a week for 24 weeks, that’s $960 a year. 10 years that only $9,600, which is a $399 saving over the $9,999 price of the mower 3-1 that only has a 2 year warranty. A kid offers me $20 to do my chores, that’s only $24,000 over 100 years, I’ll be generous and say the mower 3-1 will outlive its 2 year warranty and it’ll last 5 years. In 10 years that means he’ll have to have purchased 2, bringing it to 20,000. Considering the upkeep of the unit, it’s pretty generous to say that in those 10 years it’ll need atleast 4k in repairs, bringing that estimate to 24,000. So again. I’d rather pay a company for 10 years, or a kid down the road for 100 years 🤣.

    • @ccf310
      @ccf310 5 місяців тому

      Wow that is an excessively long explanation about how hurt you are that there are robotic lawn mowers in the world now, you seem to like a real long drawn out response so let’s get to it. I guess you’re right I should use my brain. I know my lawn at most needs (to be), see used my brain there, mowed (a) minimum of once a week unless it is unusually dry. This past year was average for the amount of mowing that needed (to be), brain thing again, mowed which i spent about $400.00 just in gas alone for running the mower, so over ten years that’s $4000.00, but you probably got that, math seems to be your strong point. I paid $3399.00 for my Yarbo on Kickstarter, mainly to alleviate, hopefully some of the 3 hours, minimum, a week i spend mowing the lawn. More numbers here, your specialty. I bought my first Xmark new with a Briggs and Stratton that only lasted 400 hours for $6000.00, bought a used Exmark with a liquid cooled Kawasaki for $3000.00. This does not include any money that it cost for the Simplicity and Yard man tractors before the Exmark’s, or for belts, filters, oil, blades, ignition coils, batteries, trickle chargers etc… to keep them working, excludes labor, even without using my brain I can fix them, what a crazy world right. It would cost me a minimum of $150.00 a week to have it professionally mowed, I will leave the math up to you on that one. Hope this helps you wrap your head around why someone would do something this stupid, well it probably makes sense to you now but with me not using my brain and all, well you know. P.S. Send me the info for the kid who offers $20 to do your chores, maybe he’s better at numbers too. That might change my mind.

And while we don't get sweaty dudes on stage putting their souls into their guitars and drums, I'd still consider "Rising" proper Rock. These drum fills and riffs are just awesome. Also, I just know the JiU will be bouncing across the entire stage during "We Are Young".

And the ability to swap back and forth between Desktop and VR with Virtual Desktop was fantastic. The first time I tried SkyrimVR with Virtual Desktop, the controller thumbsticks didn't work at all, which meant I couldn't do much... but after I saw Virtual Desktop on Quest had an update a few days later, I tried again and it all worked like a charm with no issues during my testing of a few games..

I used the default settings in the Virtual Desktop app, and have a mid-tier gaming PC with a Nvidia 1070ti. I also tried a bit of Onward and Trover, and think if my router didn't have so many walls to go through it would be a great option for when you don't want a wire.
