Great tit has a very weird left eye!
Another interesting video Boots McTee. I was intrigued by the accidental death of Isaac Quaintance whose grave is shown in your video. It appears he was a gardener and sadly he fell 20 feet from a tree whilst lopping branches.
I went to the CWGC's site and found C.A. Parnell, he was 28
BEAUTIFUL SKY!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰❤❤❤❤
My Welsh line originated in Somerset and are mentioned in the Domesday Book. My only link with York was a cousin, who was Dean of York many years ago. It's nice to think he may have performed funerals here before his promotions. Thanks Mr Boots, I love your videos. Deb.
Hi from Launceston Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺 😊
I enjoyed a visit to your city and was interested in the different pronunciation of the name from that used in Cornwall.
@bootsmctee oh wow glad you have had a chance to visit us down here 😃 ,yes they are both pronounce a bit different
It's a bloody disgrace, the idiots that are in charge of this should be made to clean it up....
I wish they could all be repaired and cleaned up it's a shame the graveyards are left
Coool place our country is full of history
It is having its grass cut thankfully not left to go wild and overgrown.
Always look forward to your videos ❤
Thank you.
It's like going shopping in Yeovil.
It takes a special kind of sad bastard who makes these kind of posts...these are people's family...have some respect for the dead...
My wheelchair could never get around these historic cemeteries and graveyards. Thank you, Mr Boots, for sharing these beautiful places with us.
You are very welcome
LIVED in one of the cottages backing on to the church yard 33 CURCH ST BRAUNTON. My boys were christened in the ROMON FONT. in the church. Loved living there.
Again I must commend you on the respect you show as you read the stones. All of the soldiers graves are sad, but to me the sheer numbers of WW1 stones gives witness to the cost of the great war.
Thank you.
Seven minutes into the video I kept asking where the heck did all that money come from. Thanks for not keeping me waiting on the answer. I appreciate the effort and care you put into your videos. I do look forward to viewing more of you back catalog.
Glad you enjoy them.
Another well filmed ❤
Thank you.
Thank you for visiting these place and showing such respect.
Thanks for featuring my great-great-great-uncle Anthony Bulos Karmy at 9:00 ! I had no idea he and his immediate family were here until several years ago, when I set about researching our history; you can imagine my astonishment at finding the family monument, one of the most prominent features of this beautiful cemetery. Anthony was a well-known figure around Blackpool in the 1900s and 1910s, and his wife and children continued the family business after his passing in 1916 - speaking of which, we were importers of 'fancy goods' and 'oriental goods', usually from Jerusalem, other parts of Palestine and the surrounding areas. Anthony was an expert wood carver, and sold many of his own creations in his shop on the North Pier, and several others dotted around the town. I keep meaning to go up and visit! Soon enough.
The chapel is still in use, my mam was buried from there a few years back. It’s a lovely chapel
Our history well worth the watch Boots hope you can do another soon ty
When my Grandfather was an assistant grave digger for a spell he was told by his boss many of the large memorials were to ensure that the occupant stayed down as they were not liked in life and people did not want them digging their way out 🤣.
Thank you for the tour. Always good to see where you take us. Trust you're keeping well.
Keeping well - but struggling to find the right time to video with the poor weather.
Nice to see you in my neck of the woods again boots.
Would be nicer if you read the history of the yrs on the stones
There was brass when cotton was king😊
I walk through this graveyard regularly as a short cut, its interesting to see on youtube
I like the uncrowded quaint yard 3/4 through; from the "foot path over the bridge"15:27.
What a fascinating graveyard! Thanks for filming.
Very well filmed ❤
In the old days you had to have some brass to afford monuments like these on your grave.
6:38 i read somewhere they took railings off graves during the world war 2 war effort, when they wanted metal to build tanks, planes etc
Beautiful,,George White was my great uncle, farmer of Higher Charlwood, many other family members buried there.
I was 6 and living in Ebbw Vale (next valley over), when this happened. My Dad and Uncle, both miners, went over to help recover the children. I have never forgotten their tear streaked, soot and dirt covered faces on the day they came home. The memorials are beautiful.
Thank you for this footage....your videos are always so interesting.
Always my first view
Great video. There is much time to be spent just reading head stones. There are some really nice cemterys around.
Very true!
I think that's the Croatian flag at 18 minutes.
Thank you
The flag is Croatia. I looked it up.
Thank you
The notices are for unpaid payments on the plot. Just another way of getting you to contact the management. Robbing you in death for what, unkempt graveyards etc. Makes me angry 🤔🤨
Boots McTee, awesome video I loved it
Appreciate it - many thanks.
This week I cam across a few Victorian graves that were fully restored to the original stone colour. They looked brand new. Apparently you can buy something called D2 that restores them.
I'm new to your channel and I must compliment you on your videos. I live in the US and here in the Pacific NorthWest our cemeteries are rather simple. I enjoy the time you take to read the stones and insert tidbits of history. (Often sending me down the rabbit hole of Wikipedia.) Unlike others who post cemetery videos, your editing adds to the viewing. I don't have to listen to your nose running or huffing and puffing while someone wandering about looking for interesting memorials. Unlike others you do not search out graves with disturbed burials or piles of bones in vaults. I respect you for the same respect you show to the deceased. Please continue what you are doing because you do it so well.
Thank you for your thoughtful comments - it is good to know that the work is appreciated.
Still Bidders in Braunton. My grandparents are interred here. Chuggs were farmers at Luscott Barton. There was a Mrs Huxtable in the church choir in the 70s, her son was the John who was the groundsmen there.
My Jowel family are all in there 🫶🏼
Pilot Officer B J Leader, Flight Sergeant D Gregory: killed; Havoc BJ491, 1455 Flight, aircraft accident, Tangmere, Sussex, 04 August 1942.
Wow, no electricity and using candles I always love seeing old buildings that have survived down thru time to be with us And that was a very huge house. I wonder if it belonged to the landlord of the surrounding land. It was far off, but looked like it was in nice shape.
A church service in the evening would be beautiful with all the candles lit. Lovely little church.
Well filmed. Very quite. ❤
I think you meant quiet.
