I Make a Real Fireplace Sweater!
This video shows the process of me making a mini working fireplace that I can wear on any sweater/clothing. What gave me the idea was I've made a couple of ugly Christmas sweaters in the past and one of them had a fireplace on it. I thought it would be cool if I could somehow make a real fire in it so that's what I set out to do and this is the result. Hope you enjoy it and thanks for watching!

Straight razor restoration - Old and rusty to almost new!

Watch me restore an old rusty straight razor from start to finish! I show you all the steps I went through to achieve a great final result. This was my first attempt so it isn't perfect but I think it turned out pretty good. *First I remove the old handle from the blade *Then I sand the entire blade with 400 grit all the way to 2000 grit, I was using WD-40 as well to help get rid of the rust. I...

    We used to make slings out of thin rope and work glove leather. The one end was looped to fit your wrist with a knot on the other end held between finger & thumb, and the pocket hung about 2 1/2 feet below your hand. Man, were they scary! You could easily kill someone with this weapon. We threw 3/4 inch machine nuts with them, and you could hear the air hum through the hole as it flew. With a little practice you could get pretty accurate with one. I’m gonna try making one like this, weaving the pocket. Good video!

    Just a request. In future show the knots in detail please and maybe don’t use Planck Paracord in an environment where your shadow will interfere.

    Been wanting to make one of these for awhile and after a few tutorial videos with 100k+ subscribers, I stumbled upon this one. Your's is by far the best! Moving the cord to the center of each end of the pouch is key. Great job!

    The end knot I prefer a bowline so it dosen't sinch/skeeze your fingure after multiple throws.

    • @MakerD
      @MakerD 2 роки тому

      Ya that would definitely be more comfortable, I just like how easy a slide knot goes on and off your finger

      The less rotational mass left in the sling when it empties, the more efficient it is. The farthest throwing slings are extremely thin ,and pouch less with a release mechanism. 400+ yds. ,I've heard.

    Thanks for the video. I was trying to make one with out any kind of jig and failed. For the loop, I'd rather make a bowline knot that way the para cord won't choke out my finger. Just my thought.
