The Old Man tells his buddy Gertz about the latest "cream puff" on Friendly Fred's used car lot in this clip from the third TV film adaptation of writer/narrator Jean Shepherd's short stories, "The Star-Crossed Romance of Josephine Cosnowski", first telecast in 1984 on PBS-TV. Jean Shepherd is best remembered for the first big-screen adaptation of his short stories in the cult 1983 film "A Chri...

Two variation of the closing theme to the "Get Smart" TV series (1965 - 1970). The first variation was used for the first four seasons. The second is from the show's final season.
Batman TV - "Surf's Up! Joker's Under!" (1967)
Переглядів 636 тис.16 років тому
Climactic fight scene from the Batman episode entitled "Surf's Up! Joker's Under!", first telecast on 11/16/1967 on ABC-TV. Batman thwarts The Joker's questionable plan for world domination by beating him in the surfing championship of Gotham City. I particularly like the music, which stands out from other lack-luster third season scores.

Jean Shepherd - "Ollie Hopnoodle's Haven of Bliss"
Переглядів 37 тис.16 років тому
The Parker family stops to browse a roadside collection of "slob art" in this clip from the fourth TV film adaptation of writer/narrator Jean Shepherd's short stories, "Ollie Hopnoodle's Haven of Bliss", first telecast in 1988 on PBS-TV. Jean Shepherd is best remembered for the first big-screen adaptation of his short stories in the cult 1983 film "A Christmas Story", which he also narrated.
Jean Shepherd - "Shepherd's Pie"
Переглядів 43 тис.16 років тому
Opening monologue from an episode of "Shepherd's Pie" (1977-1978), which was broadcast on New Jersey Public Television. Basically a video version of the type of opening monologue Shep would have done on his WOR radio show (1955-1977). Is it me, or does Shep seem uncomfortable, "out of his element" (like a fish out of water) on TV? Radio was the man's medium, in my humble opinion, and I think he...
Jean Shepherd - "The Phantom of the Open Hearth" - Leg Lamp

The Old Man unpacks his highly anticipated "major award" in this clip from the very first film adaptation of writer/narrator Jean Shepherd's short stories, "The Phantom of the Open Hearth", first telecast in late 1976 on PBS-TV. Jean Shepherd is best remembered for the first big-screen adaptation of his short stories in the cult 1983 film "A Christmas Story", which he also narrated. Both films ...
The bathing suits of Batman and the Joker, hahaha
This is the best fight scene I've ever seen. All hail the 60's!
damn these are really bad and corny as hell haha!
Love the saxophones in this!
I remember seeing this episode, it was actually at a beach
LMAO! Is that Batman wearing...SHORTS?!?!
Rest In Peace Yvonne Craig (Batgirl).
0:12 the laugh is similar to Heath Ledger Joker's laugh when he in the prison after got beat by Batman
well batman can tell his story to the kids that he fought the joker while wearing a pair of yellow swimming trunks
WHACK! POW! BIIIIIFFFFF! ZAP! CRUNCH! SPLAT! BAM!
If Cesar Romero was still alive, he would be so proud of how far the Joker has come. he would be standing there going attaboy Joker attaboy he would also be so proud of Adam West. he is just as awesome as he was in the sixties. Adam West: the Batman then and still the best Batman now. We all love you Adam West. keep the Caped Crusader running just as you have in the sixties
Now, adam west has free created the 1966 version of the show and put it in light and have it put michael formnow, adam west has decided to be a voice over actor for Lego Batman 3 Beyond Gotham and he is still just as awesome as he was in the sixties.
The biggest joke the production crew plays on the audience is having Batman adorn swimming trunks despite the fact he has his outfit on.
nice yellow bat shorts
Anyone else impressed by Yvonne's acrobatic move at 1:24?
1:14 joker stunt double
It's about time!!!!! All episodes on DVD Nov. 11
0:45 yummy
Could you imagine Heath Ledger Joker in this era. "You wanna know where I got these scars?" "I do not old chum"
God Yvonne Craig was adorable back then. Even when she played the green alien in Star Trek. I could have played a green game with her.
Personally, as much as I LOVE Yvonne Craig, I like her better as U.N.C.L.E. Agent Maude Waverly on The Man From U.N.C.L.E. better than I do Batgirl also, Alicia Silverstone was HOT and SEXY as Batgirl, but the movie was TERRIBLE
LOL Lame.
choreographed violence is the best violence
In Tennage Mutan Ninja Turtles 2012, Raph said something about the name of "Dancing Dorks" already taken....yep, it was already taken by all these people...
I only pretended to see Brian Wilson singing... :'(
Batman...in board shorts? Imagine Christian bale in those
woooho !!! greattt soong !
is that particular piece of music available on LP or CD?
Dang, I felt that *WHACK!*
I wish I could time travel to this moment and show them the trailer for the dark knight rises and watch their heads explode.
What episode is this?
This is just Desi showcasing his son's talents. :)
Incredible a kick to the face and not one broken blood vessel....
awe. so handsome. would've been awesome to see Desi & Lucy live
The trumpets are not in sync with the recording, huh?
She is the hottest henchmoll of the series!!!
Not just ANY dog biscuit, Senor Queeksdraw: GRO-PUP "T-Bone" Dog Biscuits"! ... but wasn't there a biscuit lovin' hound BEFORE snuffles? When was the gag first used? Lost in the mists of TOONtime ....
The car is a Volkswagen kit car, The computers are left-over props from Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, The girls are (well, were) to die for, And, oh yes, the radio pens are lame
guata-lahara ??? where's me google maps
He was a heavy, heavy drinker and gambler by this time. The cast tried to step out of his way and get through the show.
The second variation is bad and out of time, weird.
Desi stilled rocked it. 3
What memories that brings back!
Desi was a very heavy drinker and smoker also
This show was on ME-TV last night. Desi Sr was playing a matador who was performing for a charity benefit in Mexico City. The cast of Mothers In Law are also featured along with Desi Jr, who played a delivery boy. Many of these segments were used previously on I Love Lucy. It's like watching a really bad replay. I never saw this show until it showed up on Me-TV.
Dang, Ricky Ricardo went GRAY!!!
a lot of campy shows in the mid 60's.
I know this has nothing to do with this scene, but I love the beginning of this episode, after the old detectives says "You know, I've heard of long haired musicians, but never green haired ones." then Johnny Green and the Greenmen were playing this really rad song. I wish I could find it D:
I only watched "UNCLE" in black & white, having lost interest by the time this episode was shown, so I never knew that all the groovy babes who worked at headquarters wore yellow tops - which, of course, went along with that "Code Yellow" business in sending messages, I assume.
0:45 Very Nice!!
