Bilge Rat Militaria
United States
Приєднався 10 сер 2012
Welcome to my page! Here you will find the sharing of an amateur's Militaria collection. The main focus of my collection is U.S. WWI/WWII along with Russian, Japanese and German WWII items. I Started collecting when I was a teenager but have only gotten serious about it the last 4-5 years or so. My plan for the channel is to share items and brief history lessons for the items I already have and share new items as I get them and share range trips with various firearms from the WWI/WWII era. With all of that said, I must express and make clear that I am NOT an expert in any way shape or form. I am just a history enthusiast with a passion for collecting and preserving Military History. I will say things wrong or make mistakes, please bare with me and be understanding. If I make a mistake feel free to politely let me know!
Thanks for reading, and hope you enjoy.

The NEW MAC-5: MP5 'At Home' or Turkish Gold?!
Переглядів 14 тис.2 місяці тому
When I saw Military Armament Corporation come out with the MAC-5...the cheapest MP5 clone on the market...I had to get one! I've always wanted to have an MP5 to live out my 80's action movie dreams...but never wanted to dish out the cash for one! These clones are made on Turkey to the original MP5 specs and a third of the price. So, is this a case of "We have the MP5 at home" or is this Turkish...

Whar happen if bolt gap are wrong?
Read the instructions for this proceedure. There is some weapin setup preparation prior to gapping.
My wife is getting me a vr60 for Christmas 😂
I have the AP5 from Century Arms/MKE, and it looks like the same safety selector and lower. Swapped the lower and selector with the magpul versions and the same is 1000x smoother and easier to use
Your beard sucks... just kidding
Thanks for this video n information! I just purchased mine and checked the gap and glad to say it’s within spec! Thanks again
Good information to know. I need to check my bolt gap
Excellent vid, I'm grabbing one soon, I'll let you know if the gap is sorted out on more recent shipments
Didn't know you were chill like that Are you going for the Lee sporting lower aswell?
@@Antwho I'll probably run it out of the box as is for a while before I consider changing things around, maybe get a brace early on and an optic
@@Rigamarole Thank you for the comment and the watch, Brother! I appreciate that. And definitely let me know! I'm very curious. The Strike Industries FSA Folding Stabilizer I have on mine is a great addition! And I just slapped on the UTG Pro monolithic M-lok handguard on this bad boy and a sig Romeo-5. I'll do an update video after getting 1,000 rounds through it!
Wasted money on that stock. Anyone looking for a brace, BUY THE SB Folder! Especially if you run red dot. Sincerely from someone who wasted a lot of money on jmac, magpul, SB collapsible. The cheapest is the best for the mp5.
Man, I absolutely love this Strike Industries FSA Folding Brace. I've run in on 3 different guns and it's built well and comfortable. I think it was like 130-160
Binary trigger?
You know, I'm not sure if they make one for this thing ...that would be badass lol
Just got my MAC havent shot it and its at .018, perfect gap.
Hell yeah! Hopefully they fixed the issue and no other ones will need to be fixed
Do you know the site to get the rear brace please
I think I got it off of either Wing Tactical or right from FSA!
@@bilgeratmilitaria thanks
I got one of these from IMA. It feels good in the hand. Alot more comforrable than it looks. A much recomended ad to a collection.
Yeah! I think they're really well made for being such an old knife! Glad you were able to add one to your collection
Larger rollers will increase your bolt gap.
To my very limited understanding; larger rollers will help increase your bolt gap within reason. I couldn't even fit the smallest feeler gauge in the first bolt that was in it. I've read that your bolt gap will decrease over time/rounds and increasing your roller size is great in that situation. Is that accurate or I'm I incorrect?
As I just ate a steak and was popping in saving private ryan
Hell yeah!! Such a great movie!
Any recommendations for cheap gauge?
I just got one from AutoZone for like $6!
Learn something new every day. Good they took care of you. Reckon I need to check out my old AP-5.
Definitely can't hurt!! But yeah, I'm glad they stepped up and took care of it.
Now I have to buy some feeler gauges, I have a Century Arms ap5p and I've got over 1k trouble free rounds through it but I just want to do a preventative check up! Thanks for the info.
I got a cheap set from AutoZone! Definitely worth getting a set and checking it! And of course. I knew I couldn't be the only one who didn't know about this and wanted to spread the word!
🎶He's makin' a list, checkin' it twice, you better leave out some vodka with ice!🎶
🤣🤣🤣
I used to have one of those, it was my grandfathers who was an army ranger that fought in the pacific. Someone stold it from me. All I was left with was his web belt with gun holster, knife sheath and amo pouch.. That thing was scary looking, and it was very sharp.
That's awful! I'm sorry some SOB stole it from you
Confirmed!!!!! ITS DESTINED ITS ALREADY HERE IT EXIST WITHIN ME
bro that beard and mustache is AWSOME
🤣 thank you! I appreciate that
Holy hell, imagine how much better off you’d be spending money on a gym membership instead of all this stuff you keep buying
Do fit men turn you on more?
@@bilgeratmilitaria 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Bro is so worried about other dudes physiques...🤔
Wait, is it real thompson?, why the bolt return forward?
It's a modern made Semi Automatic Thompson made by Auto Ordnance
Turkey needs to make a copy of mp7
Right?! Lol
Armor in the WW II era clearly had its potential limited by the technology of the day, but I think it still might have saved a lot of lives had it been developed and deployed on a larger scale. They were never going to produce something that could stop rifle or machine gun rounds in a weight soldiers could actually wear, but that's a tall order. We didn't even come up with that until about 25 years ago. But a lot of what kills and disables soldiers in modern warfare is fragments, from artillery, mortars, IEDs etc. Many of those fragments have ballistic properties which are far less severe than bullets yet very capable of penetrating the human body. We figured out over 100 years ago in WW I that imperfect protection is far better than none. Helmets of nothing fancier than thin sheets of steel alloyed with manganese or silicon and nickel saved a lot of lives. There's no reason a simple cuirass of the same material would not have saved even more. The SN-42 was under 8 pounds. In WW I, Bashford Dean came up with some good designs that covered more body area and still came in at a weight no worse than what today's soldiers wear.
Wow just wow you caved his head in
It's pretty wild, isn't it?
Ryssät alas
😮😮
A Lewis gun just casually in the wild...👀
Like a boss💪🏾
Okay, thats pretty cool
Right?!
Love the lighter
Thank you! The company name is Nimrod. I think from the 70's if I remember correctly
This is when you buy a drill
And a twin drum 😂
😂😂😂 yessss
😂😂😂
I have that same bayonet on the top shelf with a metal sheath but some idiot ground the sheath down and cleaned the knife with oil. And it was definetley within 2 years
Ahh man! Well it's still a cool piece of history!
Badass trench knives in the background.
Thank you, man!
This song with the video is bad ass makes me think of the punisher for some reason
😂 hell yeah!
Was looking at MAC5 vs the AP5 and went with the AP5 because of the barrel. I own a MAC1014 and never had an issue with it, but I got the AP5 new in box with the brace for $1100 I couldn’t pass on that.
That's not a bad deal at all! I don't blame you! Hope you enjoy it
High Rof. 🇺🇸tuned?
They might have tuned it a little. I think they originally had like a 900rpm rate if I remember correctly
PSA IS DOG 💩 I have a PSA GF5 and it’s the biggest pos I’ve ever owned! Horrible heat treatment process and their bolt and trunnion is out of spec! Never again! You should see my trunnion and bolt….looks like I ran 15k through it
Wild. I've got about 2,000 rounds through mine and it's still running like a champ
@ yeah bro I’m not happy at all! Thank god I have my comblocks
Finally got mine, after a problem with PSA...they sent me the K version instead. But Atlantic Firearms had one in stock. I finally took it to my local range and it was perfect. The Wolfman suppressor really worked perfectly. I am thinking of adding some kind of red dot sight. Otherwise I am very happy. It is a great little shooter.
The k version is pretty badass as well lol. But I'm glad you finally got it and took it out to the range! Just make sure you check the bolt gap and make sure it's in spec! Mine wasn't and had to have it taken care of by SDS Imports
Check your bolt gap regardless a few went out bad
