Hi .....! Does your company need a transport driver emtyp container ..? I can help you with shipping all the time
I'm not working for the Container Terminal. Video was taken from a vessel on which I was working at that time. I'm suggesting you to visit the website of the Container Terminal and look for contacts. Wish you all the best!
I am an agent for PIL and YANG MING in this port of Manzanillo. What ship is this?
CAP ANDREAS. She was calling at Ocupa Container Terminal (Wan Hai Line)

LOL, same
I heard from old sailors that even long time sailors get seasick on the Tasman Sea.

I on small vessel and rolling almost every sea passage like here but you like crying
It is obvious that your "small vessel" will roll almost every sea passage because you are sailing mostly in the northern high latitudes. Even not significant waves can make your vessel start rolling. For instance, we were sailing mostly in the tropical zone and such bad weather was a rare case. It is just a matter of circumstances in which each one is working. I wonder why you said that I'm crying. If you concluded this from the thumbnail, this is just called a "good thumbnail" because otherwise, you will not have clicked on this video.
Omg ,its so much fun XD!!!
Bych se posral 😀
I was chief engineer onboard tankers for many years & believe me when you're in such situations you regret you have choose this job. Now I'm retired and remind young people who want to join marine institute to think twice before joining.
I need to ask the sailor of this ship.what if the captain sail the ship according to waves direction.which means the ship sails straight at 180° against the waves direction. So it won't shake the ship right or left side.it will make the ships front and back go up and down only like a wave. So this will ensure a safe cargo delivery for the ship and crew
Good question. At first, the wave height is not constant across it. As you could see in the video there weren't uniform walls of water coming straight to the vessel. The main thing is to reduce the stresses upon the vessel's hull. All force that is absorbed from the wave must be dissipated evenly. If you will go straight, depending on the vessel's design and type, the vessel is gonna have a high pitching moment and if the wave period is almost to the vessel's length you could break her in half because the bending forces will be concentrated in the same spot. By going 20-40 degrees relative to wave direction you are taking the optimal course to keep the vessel's structure within safe limits. In such a way, the force from the wave impact against the hull is distributed more or less evenly. So unfortunately, going straight against the direction of the waves will not ensure the safety of the crew, vessel and cargo. I recommend you to study the case of M/V MOL COMFORT and M/V ARVIN !

Do you mind to share what was the previous and next port of call of this ship? I know Tasman Sea but just curious where is this ship was heading. Are container ships usually make a course change, slow down or speed up due to storms? Thanks for the video.
The vessel was heading from Melbourne to Sydney but due to a delay in the schedule she was forced to stay adrift for a few days where she encountered this powerful storm coming from south to north. Usually container vessels are slowing their speed and keeping the course almost head on to the directions of oncoming waves in order to prevent possible damages for the engine and hull. You're welcome mate!
