I’ve had mine up to 47 mph
I've had my MG4 18 months, and driven 32000 miles, my battery is LFP. This is not revolutionary, it's already on the road, I charge to 100% every night, I have no issues at all. Car model is MG4 SE in UK. And further to another comment below, we also have some 360kWh charging stations in UK, no car as yet can take all this power, they will be made soon.

Are these batteries in the tens of thousands of cheap EVs that have been suddenly dumped in ports all over Europe?
A few things to consider: There is no infra to charge a car battery in 10 minutes. The current should be astronomical, and therefore only one charging post per charging station. The laws of physics are nasty. Also, as there never will be enough working charging stations, there is also no way of elecrifying the whole traffic, or even a part of it that counts. What if this battery shown here comes reality: It means that all previous EV:s become worthless instantly, just a burden to the owner. Iron phosphate tech is old already, and has suffered from the poor energy density. While they do not burn like fireworks, they have a lot of stored energy in them. And no matter what, have tiny fraction of the energy per kg adding the car weight than the real cars with gas or diesel. 100 years ago EV:s were found to be an engineering dead end. They still are, but exist only because of distorted politics. They are net harmful for the planet and humanity. As Polestar avoided bankcrupty by going fully chinese, Ford and GM are losing billions because of EV:s ,and their dealers will not want to sell EV:s any more,and Tesla sacked 14000 workers and the whole Supercharger Team, Triton is going bankcrupt(charging station company) , EV:s lose resale value in an instant, people are fed up with EV:s and switch to cheaper real cars... And, of course, there is not enough copper for electric motors if even a small amount of traffic goes EV. Chinese car makers are struggling, and will go belly up instantly if the chinese government stops financial aid. So, every 100 years EV:s are trying to get a share of the market. The gullible buy them and try to convince others and themselves that it was a good buy. But only hybrids make any sense, and not for everybody. There is an old saying "there is a sucker born every minute". EV:s are the modern Snake Oil. Net harm to the environment.

The EV's are not selling, BYD cars are accumulating everywhere in Europe, electricity is very expensive in Europe, there's a clear lack of charging stations especially where I live in Wallonia. We depend too much on china for everything, and btw we'll never have enough copper to build EV's, charging stations. And even the European court of audit doesn't believe 2035 is a realistic date. There are 99,99% of chances that this will be pushed back to 2040/2045 or even later. By the way, CO2 emissions of Europe is only 8% of the total world CO2 emissions. Even if we reduced it to 0, the rest of the world WILL increase their CO2 emissions. So this net zero stuff is total insanity and all the money we invest now in Europe is for nothing! It will just impact European people, and push them into even more poverty, being forced to buy expensive cars ... for nothing.

It's not a deposit; there is no 600 mile version (there is no 250, 400 or 1,000 either); the vehicle is only designed but not built, and probably never likely to be; and it's not time for solar on vehicles while solar efficiency is under 25%. You couldn't be more wrong.
You'd better get that deposit back quickly. The scammers are closing shop soon. I guess you don't find it odd that they have supposedly been working on this "design" since 2006 and have yet to produce a single vehicle that works. Bankruptcy in 2006 after stealing 24 million. Empty rented warehouse in California with no employees. They manufacture ZERO parts and rely on a disaster of a theoretical supply chain. Moot anyway because they will never build a single one. Ever wonder why there is not a SINGLE video of an apter on the road for more than a few seconds or why they have ZERO proof of the vehicle on a long distance trip? Why is a three wheeled motorcycle that is wider than a Hummer H1 the future of transportation?
Incredible aerodynamic efficiency (airfoil shape with low drag) and onboard solar recharging are some of the reasons. A wide stance is good for stability so why not maximize.

See "The Schlörwagen: A German Experimental Aerodynamic Vehicle from 1939, Nicknamed Pillbug drag cefficient of 0,113" There are no data about solar efficiency. Sono and Lightyear already went bancrupt about this gimmick. Wide stance means: You have to fight in every garage and every parking lot, while you cannot even see the right wheel as a driver.

@@vic321344 Good aero isn't just about drag. The car you mention will produce lift due to its shape at speed. The aptera has an airfoil shape that will produce downforce along the monocoque. Aptera has alpha and beta prototypes and they are making progress towards production. Solar charging is not a gimmick. There are cars in production today getting multiple miles per day with less solar coverage and overall efficiency. Every garage and parking space should be large enough to accommodate this width and you should be able to see the right wheel better than most cars.

You might want to look at the greenworks mini bike for one fith the price.
and 1/8 the power. It's a 1kw motor compared to the Evo's 8kw motor. Like comparing a Ford Pinto to a Corvette. Different use cases IMO.

This is only the start of VW remembering what customers want and like. The next big thing will be a reconsideration of going whole hog with EVs. VW would be well advised to take a page out of Toyota's development of an ICE that runs on distilled water. To hell with unreliable and on a global scale environmentally damaging EVs. Return to the development of safe and sound ICEs that run on water is my advice.

This is rubbish - it's a 150kWh battery. I drive a Tesla model 3 RWD and regularly get 580+ km from my comparatively tiny 57.5kWh usable battery , I would get over 1500km like for like.

Sure Tesla has delivered 12 Cybertrucks - and you want to believe they will make 260,000 a year by 2025? It took 4 years to make 12. Tesla is hung up on the 4680 cell. They cancelled the original 16% higher density cell so already Cybertrucks performance is below expectations. Now Tesla is attempting to make a 4680b which is 10% more dense; at this point why not just put in regular packs they know they can make? Anway - Cybertruck is a fail.
