Hello! I am Yirggzmb. Shorten that any way that makes you happy. I am better known as a mod for cool people who stream and stuff, but sometimes I record too. As far as let's plays go, I'm no one special. But I have fun with what I do and enjoy bringing people along for the ride.
I mainly record single player minecraft, but sometimes you'll catch me in some multiplayer shenanigans. Or, rarely, even other games. Don't expect consistency or regularity. I do this as a hobby. Sometimes you get twenty videos in a month. Sometimes you get nothing for a year. Kinda a dice roll. ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯ I also use this channel to save stream archives, that I can't be bothered to edit.

Kirby & the Forgotten Land ★ One Player Co-Op ★ Episode 41 ★ Leongar Rescue?
Welcome to the New World. Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a great deal of fun. But I decided that it would be even more fun to challenge myself to be both players! With a pair of joycons acting as single controllers, my left hand controls Kirby and my right hand controls Bandee. The task is to learn to coordinate both characters and get through the stages mostly unscathed.

Kirby & the Forgotten Land ★ One Player Co-Op ★ Episode 14 ★ Fishing for Mid Boss Rushes
Butterflies more powerful than bats? Pfft. lol I like how the credits had the English translated lyrics in both a bright easy to read font and the a more subtle ...'lore lettering'. You took the words our of my mouth after the main fight declaring Forgo Phantom Dedede as still harder. I had just been thinking the same thing!
If it helps, the butterfly Knight is generally treated like a bringer of death and a judger of souls. No mere mortal bat can compare... if we ignore Star Allies where you can defeat Morpho with literally any character even the human child 🤫 The lore lettering is a lot of fun. It's a direct one to one cypher, so even if the Internet hadn't figured it out the day the demo dropped (these people are crazy lol) you can totally use the song to translate the rest of it in the game. Not that any of it is important or anything, but it's still neat they took the time to do it. Phantom Forgo Dedede is my arena run ender, if I try to do it without the retry feature. It doesn't help that my instinctive preference is to play without ability, but he's fast and doesn't have a lot of openings. Morpho is theoretically supposed to be harder, but I have absolutely no hit that fight before. Not one handed and not when trying to keep track of two. But it's enough like Meta Knight that I can usually do decently
Holy Cow! That Phantom Forgo Dedede fight was brutal! Makes the game seem like a 'cute souls-like'. Maybe I missed something about the game mechanics but could you not grab the tomato at the start to have in your pocket for phase transitions like the one you bought?
I've heard the "souls like" comparison before, but Kirby is definitely extremely forgiving in a way that games designed to be hard like that aren't. I'll admit my playing as two players is making the fight a lot harder than it is otherwise and, even when I ignore player 2, playing one handed is so hard 😂 As for the tomato, alas no, I cannot take it with me. The ones you purchase to carry with you are special. The ones just out in the world are "use now", healing you when you touch them
@@Yirggzmb Ah! Thought so, but I wasn't sure.
Man Clawroline is always tough! I like the way all of the mini bosses have a dash attack with the anime 'speed' lines, even when they're moveing way to slow to have those lol. Like Wild Edge. Have a great night! See you next year!
👏🏻🙌🏻👏🏻🙌🏻👏🏻🙌🏻👏🏻🙌🏻👏🏻🙌🏻
I may have mentinoed before, but I really like the way Time Crash looks like a top hat designed by someone in the Girl Genius universe! Also, I didn't think we were getting an episode this week. A nice surprise! Merry Christmas!
Yeah, it's been a busy week, but I wanted to get one out even if it's late 🧡 Merry Christmas
I know you fell like Clawroline ice was cheesing it, but Silly Dillo's no hit run was legit! Also, it occurs to me while he is indeed silly, with all that spinning and rolling he could just as easily be called Dizzy Dillo!
Dizzy Dillo is such a good name! And yeah, it's probably my favorite boss fight in the game. The phantom version is a lot of fun too. It's the kind of fight that looks intimidating, but is pretty predictable if you pay attention.
I love Kirby and the forgotten land its the best Kirby game in my opinion
Almost missed this one! And it was a good one too! that SillyDillo fight was close!
Yeah it really was! I, uh, kinda expect the rest of them to go was worse than this 😂 When playing with just one character, phantom Sillydillo is one of the fights I can usually almost no hit. I can't say that for the rest of them 😅🤣
When joycon feels like a misnomer!
Don't worry about cheese. I love cheese IRL and in games. Give me ALL the cheese! All the power-ups!
Bahaha, fair enough! 😂♥️
Phantom Dedede was something else. I liked that design of that arena too FWIW.
This is definitely one of my favorite fights in the game
Un excelente juego y muy entretenido Dejo 👍 Felicitaciones por el buen contenido de tu canal 💯💯💯
hey, do you know where Phineas went?
Sorry, no. The last time we talked was several years ago and he was just busy with life stuff. Y'know, job, family, etc. Wasn't anything bad, if that makes you feel better
Thanks😀
I should comment with notes as I go... I laughed at the sudden "..so that's all..I GUESS I'm buying another one" lol Most of these 'challenges' you handled so easily ( esp. Frosty ) I wonder how you missed them the first go 'round! This was almost the figurine episode... Gotcha! Ok I'll be over here in the corner.
A lot of missing them the first time is because the mission requirement isn't revealed until you either succeed or do one part of a multi-part mission (like "break 4 snowmen", it gets shown once you break one of them). If there's missions unrevealed after beating the level, ONE will be uncovered. It's been a while since I've done a full playthrough of this game, so a lot of the ones we're doing here are things I had simply forgotten about on my first go through the level. And a lot of times when I do remember, I'll remember the vague ("Bonkers is important") but not the specific ("I need to use cutter"). So I guess or go on instinct, and sometimes I'm right and sometimes I'm wrong.
I find the story elements of this game kind of weird. Your enemies with Leon(sp?) but you're trying to save him by recovering soul bits ( if I recall correctly ) at Clawroline's behest, ( also an enemy) but you still have to fight her to help her although they did say it was "Phantom" Clawroline, so somehow different? LOL. Close fight!
A lot of the story in this game is told through stuff like figurine descriptions, Elfilin's dialogue, and the credits sequence. In addition to the regular cutscenes and stuff of course. Which makes it kinda easy to miss stuff tbh. What has been shown so far in this playthrough, the story mode credits show several images of Kirby & co happily spending time with the Beast Pack members including former bosses like Clawroline. The general implication being that, now that the final boss was defeated, you all can be friends now. Some of Elfilin's dialogue mentions this too. Then, Elfilin talks about how Clawroline nursed him back to health and how he'd really like to help her in this. And then when you are inside the rift portal thing, Elfilin has a couple of lines of dialogue on the level select saying things like "this feels like when I was absorbed by my other half (the main story final boss)" and "be careful, this place feels like it's made of strong psychic energy", implying that the story final boss and it's psychic powers have something to do with this weird place Stuff about the phantom bosses is sorta explained in figurines, but we haven't unlocked those yet. But for the most part "stronger copies of the story bosses, probably with a different color palette" are a common thing in modern Kirby games. Gameplay wise they're just there to be harder boss fights for the post game. But especially in this case, they're intended to be understood as a different entity than the boss they are based on. Later figurines we get will spell it out explicitly too, that the phantom bosses are not the same creature as the character they're based on
Ain't no way anybody is doing that needle run in 30. Way to hang in there on the flame glide!
Well, no one playing one handed with a drifty controller, anyway lmao
I've done a boss rush in Kirby Star Allies with two controllers at once. Both are the same character and use the same attack
That sounds like a very good way to not get confused about what each character is capable of. That's a reason I often give Kirby sword and similar type abilities in this, since they play at least close enough to spear and I don't have to think as hard
Tough Tree!
I love this game so much i love both planet robobot and forgotten land
With only a couple of notable exceptions ( 1 much longer, and 1 well under ) in most cases you were only about 3ish seconds behind 'time to beat', and that includes the one that timed out but you re-did. To quote a friend. "Not bad at all!"
Admittedly it helps that I know what needs to be done, even if it takes me a few tries to get it 😅
Not falling off the bridge in the fastwater area ultimate challenge: Needle! There may be one that's worse, but that's what came to mind/
@@Batronyx Yeah, needle feels almost impossible lol
First like on video
That first go-round with Goromundo I felt like he was just mocking you since you didn't choose an ability. Weird the way we can project stuff like that. On an unrelated note I saw you dodge a Buffahorn(sp) and decided there needs to be a level where you have a funny little hat and a red cape and just dodge them through the whole thing like a super Matador!
That would be a fun level! Lol
I was wondering if I should do a one player co-op in star allies that would be fun
Totally! It's really interesting stretching your skills a bit and seeing if you can be more than one character at once
@@Yirggzmb it would be magolor
Great video! I didn't even know solo co-op was possible but you sure proved me wrong.
I'm glad you enjoyed! It's been a lot of fun pushing my skills like this.
A bit of a nailbiter, twice! That "mato?" helped with Leongar. Also I seem to remember from an Arena battle Fecto Elfilis had some column things you had to hop on to avoid the ground at some point? Maybe that was a different enemy. Nice job!
You're right on both counts about Elfilis. The part you're remembering is a harder version of the boss, exclusive to the hardest version of the arena. Suddenly debating the wisdom of doing a True Arena run like this 😂
I would have needed to use all of those Blue Stars! Also I don't recall you using Space Ranger yet before today. I like the way that looks!
The blue stars are such a wonderful addition! In pretty much every game older than this, if you wanted to reset something like this and it wasn't a case where there was a two way "puzzle room" door, pretty much the only option was throwing yourself in a hole and hoping the respawn point was before the things you wanted to redo lol And Space Ranger is super cool. Hard to not like zappy lasers and big balls of energy
It was fun!
Very ASMR.
You know that one waddle dee you missed in the first area has your name on a list now...I'd watch my step from now on. Just sayin' LOL
Lol! Well I might be on a list, but good luck getting me from inside that cage... 🤭 (I'll try to go back for him. I'd like to get all the lil guys if I can. That section I always mess up first few tries though)
A-Team on the mantle! "It's fine. I don't need all of my limbs." 😂 If you haven't already, I absolutely think you should make your own Frosty Ice hat! If you have, I think I need to see it!
Lol the fun thing about recording these in batches is that I have absolutely no memory of saying that, but absolutely believe I did 😂 And I have not, yet, made a frosty ice hat, but I agree it needs to happen
My brother and I had an IRL marble maze growing up. It was fun. My brother was better at it than I was. Also, the Awoofie instruction made me think they actually DO get along from the Awoofie perspective. it's just that the Waddle Dees happen to look like cute chew toys. 😆
I still say they cheat with those awkward camera changes mid gameplay, but you manage impressively.
The camera is 100% designed for single player, and when you're just Kirby it's really not as jarring. Kirby is always more or less centered and the camera's goal is to show you where to go/what your objective is. But as soon as Bandee is in the mix, it can be pretty disorienting. Because the camera doesn't take him into account at all. From what I hear, even just being a true player 2 can be a challenge because of that. Trying to be both players is a bit mind bending lol
I think I've been pronouncing Elfilin wrong.
Possibly, but I'm not too fussed about exact pronunciations of game characters. The games don't generally have voice acting, and "Elfilin" is the localized name anyway. I think the romanization of the Japanese name works out to roughly "efillin". Meanwhile none of this looks like names anymore.
@@Yirggzmb I was calling it "Elefin" more like elephant without the T, getting the middle syllables swapped. And I agree, "Name? What?"
I'm glad you got to use the upgraded sword ability, because, you know: bat wings! lol
It's probably the coolest looking ability in the game too. There's another sword evo, and it's also really cool, but it's hard to beat the bat wings and upper caliber attack lol
Next project: giant fluffy Star pillow!
Hahaha maybe! Not sure where I'd put it though lol
GENIUS! That's funny, I also did a controller set-up like this, but it was to play with a Family Member for a 1-Player Game, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. I used a Left Jon-Con for Mario and the Other Player used the Right Joy-Con for Luigi. I highly suggest playing Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga like this, it was really fun.
It's been a lot of fun doing this. Challenging, especially on bosses, but fun. And your set up for M&L sounds fantastic. That really does feel like a game that would be great 2 player
This is an interesting playthrough
Yirggzmb jumpscare
Ohai! lol
90% of gamblers quit before they win big.
I was tempted to root for Meta Knight but I love those bat particles whether they're from him or Kirby! But you knew I would. lol I also didn't realize the boss rushes occured in 'their' arenas. I thought I remembered there just being the one. Oh well!
It's funny how your brain fills in stuff like that lol But yeah, everything is just happening in it's own boss area, unless they don't have one. Meta Knight gets this, and minibosses get a much smaller but similar themed one
That level was like Frogger on steroids! Also it's ironic that arena showed up because I planned to comment anyway, on not remembering Clawroline from your arena battle series.
Admittedly the level isn't that bad when you're only controlling one character, but this was the first level I played after a good few weeks of not. And even a solid twenty minutes of running warming up in town does not get you fully back into the groove lol And Clawroline is in the arena, but she's just one of many and while I think she's cool she's not particularly stand out compared to some others. So it's probably easy to forget her.
I decided to come back and watch some old videos yeah I noticed this this was the end of the series
Yeah, that's around the point I started falling off Minecraft video creation. Still a great game. I just find it a bit challenging to record anymore
The pre-upgrade hammer has a very satisfying thwack sound. Watching you try to light the lanterns reminds me of me trying to get aimed right to chop a tree in ACNH. lol
Something about the red coins reminds me of tomato slices, and given the lore of the big red tomatoes already, I just accept it. I was looking at the walls of the haunted house toward the end with mouthful vending, and thinking that would make a neat build in MC eh?
Yeah, it really would be fantastic
When Bandana Waddle Dee died, and then immediately revived, there were bananas right there and my brain called him. Banana Waddle Dee LOL Also, maybe just me, I think they should have let him ride in front on the mouthful coaster and had him scream a lot.
Some of the camera angles in this game are crazy, especially at the start of the fast water! Also I love the apparent thought process behind Wise Waddle Dee: "You listen to everything I say? You MUST LOVE ME! Here! Have something to always remember me by!" lol
As it turns out, I do love Wise Waddle Dee 😏🤭
Are you looking forward to any particular figurines?
Mm, nothing terribly specific. There's some really cool ones of the different bosses at least
That was kind of cool: "...see if anything changed in the town yet. Probably not." Then, THREE new things including your house. Wow! I also completely understood the 'of course I'm using the hammer" ref. 😉
I can never remember when the town updates 😂 It's at certain levels of Waddle Dees saved, but beyond that I got nothing lol
