Skull Bracket Installation Video Buffalo Table Bracket
I found out how to do this on a smaller scale with a couple soup cans, a duct crimper, a tabletop smokeless fire pit, and a few handfuls of hardwood pellets. Makes perfect bone char in about 2 hours. I plan to scale this concept up to a larger smokeless fire pit and two #10 tomato cans that my favorite local Italian restaurant donated to me.

Hey Rowdy, I’m doing a college project on using biochar for concrete companies ! Can I reach out to you for some questions?
Yes
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you.
Wow who organized the analytical equipment and testing? This defies gravity and I can't figure out the feedstock input and output. The fire just looked like a standard fire and no gasification or pyrolysis involved.
This was impressive
Keep innovating!!
Thanks for sharing this info. Very interesting!
Dope
Nice 👍 system you have done. I want somehow combine this charcoal production with my novel very lage ”Water turbine stirling engine” you can se here. The Wall temperatur of the hot cylinder will be around 350-400C for my glass foam displacer ua-cam.com/users/shortsWTryMD3YQ2g?si=Ij6NgHoxU7i0xsxs ua-cam.com/video/b4cYQ27gyRc/v-deo.htmlsi=6resg8Z8IcuHfFWL
Very clever design, congratulations
Is that horse manure?
how much for one? i dont see on your website
wanna make lump charcoal;
Doesn't pine have a significant amount of turpentine in it? Is it sufficiently eliminated by the charcoal process that it doesn't interfere with the microbes inoculating the charcoal?
At high temperatures the turpenoids become volatile and become combustible.
yo what is that sound at 3:14?😳
To much work
Looks great, incorporating a clean burn system into the kiln enhances its environmental credentials, this ensures the combustion is efficient and complete, minimising the release of harmful pollutants into the atmosphere. Well done 👏
What's the highest temp it can hold? Or has held? Is it quenching as the char is leaving or as it is still in the base?
Good looking setup. Do you use an electric heater or something to maintain your temperature you set it at or is temperature just adjusted by air flow?
I put a couple buckets in my compost pile weekly and I’m seriously wanting to make biochar for the soil in my yard. I hadn’t considered the coffee going into the retort.
Are these available to purchase?
Yes, please contact me at rowdy@hpbiochar.com for more info.
Hi, can I process chicken litter at 70% dry matter and even dairy slurry at 30% dry matter?
I love the name, well done.
Great
Is this a continuous flow system ?
Do you not have to "charge" the charcoal before it's considered biochar? Thanks
Im course on rhe size, i hear a lot about not getting it to small?
How long did it take?
That looks great!
i cant hear what you are saying!
Maybe run the system on methane from a manure digester. This way would not be wasting any wood.
I like the statinless construction of the units. I bet they last a long time Rowdy.
Amazing
What a fantastic system. Gonna build it myself for our plant nursery.
Just installed this one and it was super easy and works great!
Great idea
Awesome!
Could the biochar be used as bedding for the horses?
Did the biochar stick to the seeds? If so, how?
It looks like you have some insulation between the barrel and the thermal mass. How long does a load take to burn?
Pretty sure the odd beep you’re hearing is in the video. I was looking around my house trying to figure out what it was😅
A true servant of Mother Nature, keep up the good work!
Alright guys
Thank you for sharing information about agriculture which is very useful
❤
any tests on how it works with crops?
That's a nice set up
Do you ever wet the hemp so you can stuff more of it into the canister?
Not typically. You end up having to cook all the water off so you really don't want to add water.
Cool set-up.
