Im running him as my commander and i will say that hes busted as hell and you should consider playing him to see. Proliferate, trample, and indestructible are his best friends

I don't think this is very precisely explained. This explanation will seemingly make sense because it's a bit oversimplified because it just assumes certain things but in practice, it will become a mess.

As a Yugioh Player, this lesson is taught early on. You should not be afraid of playing cards just to lose them. For the one card you are losing, they have to lose one negate that could be used later on and the trade is usually worth it. To fight control decks, you have to bait their negates early on with less important cards before using your important cards to strike at the opponent.

i use him with kami of whispered hopes. infinite +1/+1 then use gaeas gift to cancel any destroy

so i really get 40 cards for each time? what’s the downside? why wouldn’t you just do this until you have every packet owned?

I think the important part is it puts counters not just on itself but other creatures. Many competitive cards that want counters on them. lol toss this and walking ballista together lol.

I’m gonna leave this here. I was stuck in a stalemate pretty late into a match playing commander(brawl on mtg arena where I play) and during this stalemate my opponents and my own board state became rather crazy but nothing was nudging either of us into the lead or giving an advantage so I spent my time using Bristly Bills activated and I pumped a 1/1 ankle biter with death touch to an astounding 769/769. I had some other crazy numbers on the board but none were has high as my ankle biter since he had been on my board since turn 1 as he is only a 1 drop

Wrong, rolling anything other than a d6 in a me house deck is a god damn sin. He's a casino owner, you either build house as a attraction deck to simulate running a casino or you don't run house as your commander at all

Oh yeah as a mono green player myself I gotta say this prickly boi is gas. That power boost not only good when trample attacking, but is also useful for defense if my opponent wants to ping my cards and if my opponent wanna try trample me to death.

This as a commander is decently...boring

He's better in the 99 than as a commander. As commander he is color limited. Even just a splash of white and he becomes much more dangerous... Cathars crusade, felidar retreat...

This mechanic is bullshit. It should come with a drawback similar to the one the actual artifact has, something like "at the beginning of the upkeep phase, you lose 1 life per temptation level, can't be prevented". For crying out loud, using the ring requires mana, it ONLY lets you draw extra cards and it consumes you for doing it. It makes no sense that the ring tempting you only benefits you.

I'm happy OTJ is making Jund stronger. Haven't played enough yet for any deeper insight

Definitely not a cedh cars. Too slow to build up for cedh. High power it's ok but yes strong in low casual
