Are you sure, that the engine was cold? If you pay closer attention and watch the whole video, it seems that his Temp- and Fuel-gauges weren't working at all, because there was no any change on them during the video. Both gauges were on "LOW" for entire video.
Loved this bike. With 105Bhp, it doesn't go wheel up but instead focused on that power into shooting the bike straight foward to topspeed so fast it was insane.
Is that all your best man? That FZ with 5 valves per cylinder and 105 hp, can do more then 200 kmh, man,you know that? Look in the specs manual dude and try again !!!!
I bought an '86 model in 1987 just to blow my friend away on his Ninja 900. For the time, this bike had amazing power and handling. The top speed you mentioned was easily reached and only limited by the rev limiter. So much power...
@@billyzee261 Yup, Crushed an FJ1200 and was never beat by anything on that bike. Laser tire up front and Metzler on rear. A beast in a tux. Bad ASS BIKE
@@NeoDon1 hands down, I used to beat my friend on his gxsr 750, another on his honda vfr 750. Off the line, I used to destroy another friend on his kawasaki zx7 but the oddest thing, at about 100mph or so, he'd be about 2 or 3 bike lengths behind me but at that point, I'd see him accelerate faster until he slowly passed, beating me. This consistently happened. Additionally, the same bike on the curves was faster. Then again, the guy was really small, about 5'8" and I'd say about 150 lbs. But I have to give credit where credit was due. Anyway, the zx7 was kawasaki's latest and greatest technology but when the FZ750 came out earlier, it was untouchable at the time. P.S., I loved the weight balance of the bike, it was very stable and comfortable. I got a CBR 600f a few years after having to sell my fz but it was no comparison in any respect.
@@billyzee261 No One, I mean No One could beat me, never a GSX-R or anything else. Yes in a straight line after a while they pass, but if any curves were involed , forget about it! Read "a twist of the wrist" by Keith Code it will chage what you know. I am VIPER I straiten out the twisty turnies! and leave everyone, except this one guy on a Ninja 600R he would always be on my rear, never could pass, but used to hang. NOTHING was better at the time than the % Value Gennesis Motor and the 1986 FZ 750 Yami. Peace

Die geht ab wie eine rakete dagegen wirkt das video harmlos. reifen bremsen muessen natuerlich topp sein. aber den 20 valve ventiler zu fahren ist echt schoen. den motor schoen gewartet mal an die grenze drehen wuerde dem video mehr pfiff veleihen. den die fz ist der hammer bis heute

That is the km/hr speedo. It goes to 240 km/hr, plus some unmarked stripes. The US/mph version goes to 140 mph. That should clear it up.
there is no other rush like climbing over 200, every cell in your body is aware of what your doing. Amazing bike

Mate, you hardly hit 200 KpH... But considering the old bike and the windy public roads you were on that might have been the limit for myself too.

Sorry mate but this is not the top speed of the bike. It can go more. I had the Fz750 1989model and i had reached almost 245km/h .
