I made this film about a small non-profit organization and the people they've affected in the Nigerian Village called Ejemekwuru. This kind of work is part of what silently brings our world together, while so many things try to divide us. To support Marycare's efforts or to learn more, visit www.marycare.org

So beautiful ❤
Such a sweet mesmerizing way to explain reality of who we are .. thanks Greg 🙂
He still enjoys Mexican food, so there's that and to like or love Mexican food is to acknowledge that you once (past) ate it. Otherwise you are forever loving the idea of Mexican food based off of no-one ever having really ate it.
Thank you so much for these!

It’s hard because we use our physical we’re using the physicality of our brain to think about non-physicality. It’s kind of like those pictures you see that if you look at it one way, it’s one thing. And if you look at another way, it’s another thing. Most of us can’t see both at the same time. Nonduality is seeing both and not seeing both at the same time.
It’s just a story on a page. It doesn’t have a beginning or an end. It’s like a page, with the story
Holy crap. This hit me like a ton of Bricks. WTHHH😮
We give meanings to words
The ending is all I had to hear. The presence that I am does not come and go.
The Best.
So amazing
Great talk Greg. Love the Bishop Berkeley story ❤
Wow! Something I'd never considered to look at that is so obvious when pointing to it.😊
This is great teaching from a great teacher. His books explore these themes in more depth, for those who are interested.
He is such a great teacher. The language theme was very helpful. Matching the language of the response to the language of the question. Thank you for making these videos. They are gems.
Difference between subject and object feels to me like the difference between touching my own arm and touching someone else's. The first I can feel both. The second I only feel my touch not the being touched.
Be in the world but not of it
Thank you to interviewer for making this and guest for sharing gems🙏🙏🙏
Music is too loud and distracting. Enjoyed otherwise.
This is a flawed and westernised view of the purpose or need for realisation (moksha).
To much talking!! This is more about indulging thought than inquiries. Sorry pal, this ain’t it. You speak to much! It’s not this difficult
Brilliant.
I think trying to explain advaita with a rational/scientific approach is an error. Greg goode seems a very intelligent man but all the arguments he gave don't convince me at all. yet I've read Jean klein and his approach is more poetic, the idea is that the realisation is not something mental so there is no need to use the mental to understand it.

Roger, I have watched these videos repeatedly for many years and have sent them to people I knew would get something out of them... I think the view- and comment-counts belie their value. I'm glad you've kept them available. Their value may be more fully and widely appreciated in hindsight...
Wonderful :-)

Cool. I just started reading 'Real-World Nonduality' and that's what brought me here. Now I'm gonna give a thumbs up to thetherball23. 🙏💖
"Are you treating consciousness as a literal entity or being, or are you treating it as all that arises?" Yes, "all that arises" is more open-ended, more inclusive language, but by the same token it is less accurate and less real; it is less authentic. Pure consciousness or awareness is the essential witnessing or experiencing that we already "do", or are. That is, it is our true and unchanging Self. So, for most of us, pure consciousness is a very mysterious concept, especially when a nonduality teacher says that it cannot be an experience of the mind, the separate imagined self. That seems confusing, since we are convinced that we are the mind and body, and nothing else. I believe that there is no way to pin down "pure consciousness" using words. It is like trying to use a limited mind to have an experience that is only possible to a theoretical unlimited mind: I mean to say that it is impossible. What is possible, and should be pursued, is the direct experience of pure consciousness starting from ordinary consciousness in ignorance, that is, the experience of the universal starting from the personal. How to do this? One needs, at least initially, a mental technique. Examples from advaita vedanta include "The Invitation" video by Mooji and the introductory video for any retreat by Rupert Spira. By following such techniques, one actually transcends the individual mind to experience the unboundedness of pure consciousness. This experience then makes the entire intellectual philosophy of nonduality make sense. An example of technique from gyana yoga include the Eightfold Limb called dhyana, or deep meditation, which can be learned from either the Transcendental Meditation™ or Natural Stress Relief™course. One can spend a great deal of time being confused when trying to understand nonduality through the intellect, either through literal OR figurative language. But the direct understanding of it can be had rapidly when approached through actual experience, using a mental technique that brings our attention from the surface level of consciousness (the mind) all the way in to the source of thoughts, which is pure consciousness. Words can never do this experience justice; it is best for any seeker of truth to obtain this experience yourself, by practicing one or more of these mental techniques.
Music ruins the flow.
Thank you thank you thank you. 💕

Thinks are not what they seem to be and you are not who you think you are. 😄😘
You are nothing but a thought in my mind. Yeah you are.
@@chocomanger6873 , not quite. You yourself is just a thought in your mind. And that thought of being an "I", a septate self, created me, the other.😉😋😘
@@edzardpiltz6348 God made the image of you through my eyes, so to speak. Without me, there's no you. Without God, there's no me.
@@chocomanger6873 , who is me? What do you refer to when you say "I"?
@@edzardpiltz6348 I am Brahma. You are an object.
Excellent point about the "physicality" as when someone reacts to one their organs as this awful, evil thing causing them so much grief and alienation from it. But this also stems from the medical world's objectification of the body and hence the body/mind duality we're left with.
