I'm not sure if you still read comments, but you talking about the struggle to retain an authentic identity in the face of social expectations is so true (13:00). There's a French philosopher, Jean-Paul Sartre, who I think you'd really like. Sartre talks a lot about freedom, and how we're naturally inclined to throw it away in the face of other people's expectations. It's almost like we're naturally possessed to fit into the little social box assigned to us.

Hey, I dont knwo if you're reading comments on this video still but this video really inspired me in my journey waiting for my cornell decisions. I don't really think I'm getting in ,but if its people like you getting- they deserve it.

Jasmine, my brother chose Dyson over Duke too (and Yale). He is now in IB and so happy he chose Cornell and said it was the best choice he ever made. You might know this, but if you got a better financial aid offer from Duke, Cornell will match it. And even if you did not know this before today, you can show them your Duke offer and they will, in essence, refund you by retroactively crediting your account. And complain bloody hell if they don't. They are pretty fair when you complain. ;)

This is great to hear someone got in without reporting scores. There no videos sharing this, non whatsoever. I thought for real it was a joke the colleges were playing.

It makes me feel much better seeing that not everyone has a super high GPA. I'm at a 4.13 right now which I am proud of, but I use to feel pressured to take as many AP's as I could to have a higher GPA.

May I ask you a question idk if you will see this. What can ubc sauder of business get you in? What jobs can you receive and what do you do in business. Do you look at the market? I have many questions sorry idk what I’m going to do in the future.
