Hi besty do you think you could do some basic videos of how to do this type of art, im in a extremely rural area near lake ontario and lake erie, but its illegal for us to take rocks form shore due to eriosion ,so i go to homedepo get my rocks in a bag the white rocks are mexican beach and if you ever get odd shape flat white rocks they are called santeria rocks( i hope i spell that right)and we dont have anything like this type of art form in my rural area were a pooree area we dont even have a art store close by and id like to bring this art form to my local community to help inspire them as we had a mass shooting within 59 mintues of our home community art brings such beauty to others and i find any rock art beautiful and poignant..also personally i find it very lovely to look at and hold, lol makes my art soul soar,i do dot painting on my rocks and watercolor and hemp jewlerly but id always wanted to merger them together, right now due to a husband that was recently in hospital for gallbladder treatment our money is tight due to medical bills so id like to just use my hemp thread i have at first, to practice on the rocks and work up to find away to purschase cane could you tell me a good shop to buy from online thats trustworthy as i cant do amazon had bad luck with purschases being knockoffs so i always now do a are they sourced in usa as i like to support other american business owners and not get scammed.i really love your art style saw your video interview about doing pieces Philadelphia museum and it was serripendity that put your video in my scope as i was looking at museum that ddoing rock art.. so i subscribed to your channel with hopes to learn a new skill to help merger my love creating art from jewlery to rock painting.so i know if youd like to do some basic entry level ytube walk thru slow videos on basic designs how you buy your cane and types, why you hang the cane, and how long to soak cane for correct process ,an overall time it takes i know i would greatly appericate the story of your work, and also passing on your skill and knowledge you learned from another artist that has left our world ( id like to learn how artist learned themselves who inspired them).... thank you so much ...( three year amauter artist taking classes to become a better artist from artists that inspire my art to soar bring beauty to my local community....)mikelle art mom🎨👩‍🎨✍

I was wondering how many times you wrapped the cane around the rock before you switched to wrap the other way. Did you use Reed for the circle?

Fall of 2020 I walked a shore of Lake Michigan and saw some stones I’ve never previously seen. Immediately I imagined them as magic wands of a sort - wrapped in reed, embellished perhaps. I imagined the wraps exactly as you make them: taut of their own accord. Now I’ve found your videos and have some more information about how to create these pieces. Thank you so much.
