Stumbled on this video as I was torn between the two. So between 2 it is Jewels. Actually was thinking of Jewels as an intimate vacation for my wife and myself. Now the next comparison I was looking at is Ocean Eden Bay with Jewels Paradise... Let me know your thoughts. Thinking that Ocean Eden Bay is ahead of Jewels based on UA-cam searches so far. Ocean Eden Bay is pricier. and it would be comparing 2 Adults only. I await your views

We have been to the hotel several times now from the U.K. since I retired we went in April then six weeks later again we wanted to go out before the hotel was renovated this month we were hit by hurricane beryl on the second week we were there but the hotel staff were fantastic at making sure we were all safe the hotel was running on its generator afterwards for a few days but some of the staff had not been home for five days so we could be feed we will be back to see how much the hotel has changed after the renovation we have been to a few places around the world but Jamaica is the place we love to chill out and relax now we are getting older

The food does not look GOOD at all. Traveling here in October I'm hoping the HOTEL watches and improved prior to our trip. Excellent review.

The ala carte restaurants are The Holiday inn are actually really good. The Italian (Sorento) The Sea Breeze and the Gourmet Jamaican restaurant were all really good. We didn't try the Japanese which isn't free. I think it's $29.00 per person. Also the Jerk Hut was pretty tasty. I agree with the buffet being pretty bad, but you'll always find something you'll like. It's hit or miss for sure, some days were decent, some days were pretty bad lol I hope this information can be useful to anyone considering going to Holiday inn, now known as Catalonia.

My experience: JG has nothing that other hotels and resorts don't also have. The thing that makes all the difference is the service and genuine warmth of all staff. You can feel the love, and it never felt fake or forced.

The pizza restaurant was sooooo good

Met my husband at Jewels Stayed there for my honeymoon and went back for our 3yr anniversary. Its a staple for us.

My only problem with this riu is that after 12 there is no food and the suites are far away from the restaurants etc. Next time i will book a room closer to the pools etc

I just got back from this resort July 5th 2024 I absolutely love it here my wife and I celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary everyone here is so nice and respectful the GM Louis took care of our save return to the airport because of the hurricane that passed. Love you Jamaica 🇯🇲 ❤️ I will be coming back in March 2025 much love from Toronto Canada 🇨🇦 and Guyana 🇬🇾
