Ritchie did not understand hard Rock especially with Gillan. It came down to Gillan not having his 1965 vocal chords in 1993. Smoking and drinking cause damage but not to Ritchie and his Guitar. No one's voice can take what Gillan and Ritchie wanted. Gillan recovered most of his voice in the early 2000s singing with Pavarotti. Blackmore is simply a punk. Lord and Paice were the anchor of Deep Purple but Gillan and Glover gave the band success with Smoke on the Water and many other songs. Ritchie was the band bully, basically.

I love these guys's music although I don't understand their music lyrics but nevertheless they deserve a lot of praise their progressive chords are enough for me to really like them TK is good so good!

Worth mentioning that while this was the year The Hives exploded in popularity with the other "The" bands, this is a matter of weeks/months before that all hit for them. There's not a lot of recordings of The Hives in these "B.C." years, and really cool that it's about as close to the crossover point as you can get.

Avevo vent'anni ed ero sul lato sinistro del pubblico, terza o quarta fila sotto il palco. Com'erano semplici i concerti allora... un palco, i musicisti con i loro strumenti... nessuna coreografia, coriste, schermi giganti... era tutto un po' più umano. E che artisti... che musica! Gli show di oggi sono troppo televisivi, si è perduta l'esperienza dell'uomo che incontra l'uomo. Lo so che parlo da vecchio, abbiate pazienza.
