New Flyer Suspension - Wheel Well POV
Ever wonder what the front suspension of a transit bus looks like? This is the front right wheel of a New Flyer XD40 transit bus during a light snow shower in suburban Toronto. We installed a GoPro, a light, and controlled the camera remotely from inside the bus. We use clips like this in our training videos for bus drivers and mechanics at Transit Academy.

peel regional police shouldve been arresting the driver for this
I was in a trolley officer training video around 1997 or 1998. I was changing buses at Old Town when me and a friend were approached and asked if we would come help with a video. They had us pretend to sexually harass a young lady on the trolley but there wasn’t sound so it was very awkward. Obviously this was long before internet video was a thing but any chance MTS might still have it?

Does this system prevent brake disc wear at maximum pad wear?
Can’t using compressed air to blow carbon from the motor actually force carbon into the motor and possibly create a ground??
That is correct
You didn't show the inspection of the switch machine layout, rods, insulation, adjustment, etc. Blowing dust into the motor can create a ground. If you suspect you have a ground on the motor lead, disconnect one lead and megger it to ground.

Good video of what complacency toward safety standards and procedures can end up producing. Had he not been distracted with other activities he would of been more alert at the intersection. Possibly even reducing his speed as precaution.

This is worth seeing time and time again. The driver is more than fortunate. Concentration is critical with driving especially when driving a commercial vehicle.

The transit bus driver should have know better. It makes him look extremely bad as a bus driver. Yelling at passenger can only result in shooting, stabbing, etc. Don't put your hands on somebody unless they touch you. He should have called dispatched immediately. That is wrong!
