You did the right thing to call service. They will address the issue. I hope it's an issue that is easily resolved and there won't be a need to completely change the unit but if it is not then the manufacturer warranty should cover the change. Unfortunately, as with any kind of machine there is a small percentage that are defective upon purchase. I hope that is not the case for you and that is something that they can fix right then and there and everything gets resolved. 🙏

@@chance2bk1ng Here's the quick answer if you are in a rush to know. I'll explain a bit more in the video . I usually only use max spin when I absolutely have to use it. I will use max bin for when I have to wash clothing or items that absorb lots of water such as towels, bath towels, thick fabrics, thick comforters, etc. if I don't have to wash those items I will not use a Max spin for that because the regular spin is enough with this agitator from this GE washer model. I always try to keep cost at the top of my mind so because a Max spin does require more electrical energy meaning it could go into a higher electric bill at the end of the month, I try to be very very frugal about my energy usage. This is just a fact that is applicable to all washers and dryers. Or any appliance that uses electricity really. So the quick answer is if you don't need to use max spin on an item then a normal setting should be more than enough. And in regards to the Eco cold setting, I'll explain a little bit more about this in the video but when I need to use cold water to wash and it's a small item or a delicate item or a light load, then using an Eco cold setting is good to use. Yes that is correct. You can use 1 cup of bleach, 1 cup of vinegar alone or with several drops of tea tree essential oil, or a washing machine cleaner such as Affresh. Hope that helps! 😊

However, I do have Queen size bedding and when I wash my bedding I usually put two Queen size blankets with a couple of pillow cases and bedsheet and it usually does fine. I would imagine if you just wash 1 blanket per cycle you would be fine. But that's my guess. I unfortunately don't know for sure. 🤷 I hope that helped a bit. ☺️

Not at all. It's been working very well for us thus far. However, if you have a specific concern let me know and I can record a video for you to help you address that question or concern. The main thing you want to make sure before you buy is if your home meets the water supply requirements, the space requirements, and if you have the additional installation products necessary to ensure a correct installation (additional installation products I believe are standard with most companies). I would encourage you to peruse the user manual to ensure your home space meets the requirements for this washer. In regards to the smart features included with the GE profile ones, that is 100 percent a personal personal preference and in my personal opinion lol. There are many nice features with having the Alexa assisted laundry help and it is pretty cool how it has alot of sensors to detect soil levels and such. I tend to aim for more traditional washers for 3 main reasons: 1. I like to limit the amount of smart technology in my home. There are known risks of exposures to radiation that have been documented to impact human health however if you have the appropriate technology to alleviate this in your home, then this is not something you have to worry about. 2. I don't like Alexa and I try to avoid Alexa and similar products in my home. 3. I like the price difference. This washer that I'm promoting runs for $595 (depending on the retailer you use) whereas the other can run $1,299 (again depending on the retailer you use. Regardless, both are very nice products and have their own fun features. I haven't encountered the same problem, but there may be a variety of different reasons as to why this is happening for you and I'd like to help you troubleshoot that as best as I can.

In the meantime, here is the link for GE's website, there you can find the product user manual, go through their trouble shooting guide, and schedule a service repair if needed and if that is the route you feel is needed after you've troubleshot. products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-specs/GTW585BSVWS/support If your washer was installed recently by an installation professional, you absolutely have the right to call them and ask them to come back and fix the installation issue if you come to find out that the issue is because of a wrongly connected port or water hose or drain hose, or the water supply requirements mismatched what your water supply offers, etc. You can create an online account with GE where you have access to all of the user manuals for all of the GE products you have purchased and registered with them. Regardless, if it is not due to the water settings not being correct for your load size or needs, then it has to be due to a technical issue which they will be more than happy to assist you with. That's a great question. I've never tried the max water level. I plan to do laundry today so give me a few days to record a video of me using that water setting to show you. The lid does lock when washing however there is a way to unlock it when you are washing which I will make another video to show you as well. I'll send them to you when they are ready. I do actually. I love the clock feature. I love the settings and how effective the spin cycle is on the normal and no spin settings. Like I literally don't have to work as hard as I did before drying my clothes when they are done. Before, my clothes were damper coming out of the washer. Now, with this new washer, my clothes are very well spun. Everything is very easy to use, and it washes well. The only complaint I would have is that immediately when I open the washer, the washer turns on and is ready to use so like I have to press the power button to turn the machine off. So, like it's an extra step I have to take if I'm just checking the washer to make sure I didn't leave any clothes in there which I guess isn't a big deal lol. But out of the ones I've had in the past, they don't compare to this one at all. I'm very happy with my purchase.
