I was 15 me and four my friends. Climb up fire escape ladder on the left side of the building, snuck around the curved front of the overhang, and a 1 person paid for admission open the fire exit on the balcony staged side and form of a snuck in. I was SO high. I don't hardly remember. What a great time we had though.
Sadly Jimi’s last new year.
Thank God for the art house theatres that played this one on occasion, along with A Film About, Woodstock, etc. Those of us who missed him when he was here shall be forever grateful. Jimi was as much visual as he was audio.
pepper was my first album and it was the first to have lyrics on it and yes I studied it on the bus on the way home
Great old times, when Jesus walk on earth
Hypnotic journey. Its like going on a journey. The best journey. Incredible.
muchas gracias
Me and my posse on the front row balcony hung our peace flag over all and rocked!
When I first moved to Chicago in 1991 I taught private rock/jazz guitar lessons and played at ALL of the blues and rock jams that existed all over the city. Buddy Miles lived in Chicago and played with his 3 piece band at a club called the "China Club" and a club called the "Avalon". One night I stood within 2 to 3 feet from Buddy's bass drum and I realized that Buddy was an incredibly LOUD percussionist. He beat the shit out of his drums. I talked to Buddy for about 5 minutes at one of the open night jams. All that I remember is that he had some gold teeth...he smiled constantly...and he had a high pitched voice... PEACE

Very worthy performance and musician. Little wonder why you uploaded it and that the crowd was so moved by it...
Louis Julius, Chill genre is a tall favorite of mine. Great production you did here! Added it to my Chill playlist, thank you and keep performing; really enjoy your flavor...
I LOVE I LOVE I LOVE JIMI HENDRIX LONG LIVE HIS LEGACY
The Fillmore East Concerts is the Best of all Concerts . Ever.
Yes.
I recall when “Purple Haze” was released, there was nothing like. And then when “Are You Experienced” came out we knew we had a new god. He was the MASTER.
hermoso
Back in 1976 when I was at a garage sale I found some black and white sound footage of Jimmy Hendrix performing on stage And being introduced as Jimmy James and the blue flames at some small night club somewhere, also on there cut in is him performing with another musician name Curtis Knight.many years later I was told that this is extremely rare and valuable footage, The film is in excellent condition and I had it stored appropriately. anyone interested in buying it from me i’m sure we can work out a price.
How much would you like for it?
I WANT THAT FILM,NAME YOUR PRICE
I would have liked to hear George or John’s take on all this. McCartney was never one to hide his light under a bushel.

Punky ass hendrix
They had potential of being the greatest rock band ever
And he is
Not with Buddy Miles in the band they didn't. The guy was dreadful both as a singer and drummer. He didn't belong on the same stage as Jimi Hendrix.
What’s the 1st song???? So good
stepping stone... cheers!

Great rhythm from Billy and Buddy!
Great concert and plenty of Jiminy's jamming sessions with his old buddy billi cox and buddy miles and some good old tunes go go Jimi ❤😊
Thanks for posting that 1970 New Year intro and of course the great Jimi...
Great footage. This version of Stepping Stone isn't on the album (Songs for Groovy Children). They must have re-done that one in the studio after the gig(s).
His playing got even better at this point in time. His picking, he got faster and cleaner. I could see him, had he lived, being able to play heavy metal with ease.
He kind of invented heavy metal. With Mountain, Black Sabbath Blue Cheer and MC5.
So cool, and what a great version of "Fire". Thanks for posting.
So what have we learned about the use of drugs and excessive alcohol. We have got to be the dumbest form of life on the planet
Never heard this before , it’s not on the album , amazing to have footage though as well
Vamos a echar mucho de menos a Paul cuando no esté.
Una delícia ver este concierto de la banda de los jitanos.!!👍
