Theoretically yes and also any fob transmitter is potentially subject to relay attack. But, I've never heard of anyone getting their Maserati stolen this way. Keep in mind Maserati engineers have designed multiple layers of security into the car, most of which remain intact. I always ask people: Are you more likely to have your car stolen or lose your key, in which case you'll need to pay the dealer $1500 to replace.

You need the circuit board from the factory key fob (blue with flip key). Do you have that? If so, then yes.

I haven't heard of anyone having issues with these types of moderate spacers, especially on Maseratis which have a strong wheel bearing. The really big ones like 50mm + might be a problem.

That shouldn’t be a problem. With our keyless systems, you press and hold the unlock button for two seconds to send the signal to unlock the passenger door.

@@maseratimods But will the keyless function work for the passenger side or do I have to manually take out the key fob to press the button to unlock the passenger door still like I am used to now?

@@dns15r I don't think the passive unlock feature can unlock the passenger side, you either push the unlock button under the A/C console inside the car or hold the fob button.

It's an experiment to save time. The idea is that the SEM paint, which is specifically formulated for plastic, will encapsulate the remaining sticky and prevent or reduce further degradation. Time will tell if it works. So far, it is working...no softness or sticky.

You don't have to remove the key cylinder but it will not function, so I prefer to plug the hole. The kit includes a plug for the ignition hole. Can't paste a picture here but you can see it at maseratimods.com/products/keyless-remote-start

@@leonardococo2657 The car retains its alarm system. If yours has ever gone off you know how piercing loud it is! But realistically any car can be stolen very quickly these days. Have you seen the video of the ferrari lock picked and theft in under 1 minute? Weight the risk -- are you more likely to lose your only car key which costs $1500 to replace or get your car stolen?

@@ColinClarke-pb8ee If the car battery drains, the car remains in whatever state it was in locked/unlocked. Our upgrade fobs come with a key spare your local locksmith can cut so you can manually unlock the door in event the car or fob battery drains. The fob battery needs to be replaced about once a year and the signal will slowly weaken giving you a couple weeks lead time to replace it.

Certainly an option but time consuming especially on the parts that have a thick layer of sticky.

Thank you for this tip. I see there are 2 types of Dirtex cleaners, one's says for windows, glass & ect..the other one is in powder form and says for general purpose cleaning and doesn't mention that it's for glass. Which one did you use please? I'm anxious to get rid of sticky.

You definitely want to use the glass cleaner one….what blew my mind was….it cleans the sticky stuff without removing lettering or anything else….and its not harmful. Super cheap and effective. Good luck

They’ve never worked on the new fob. Just got it installed and everything works but the lock and unlock buttons.

the remote start works it just won’t lock/ unlock the door or open the trunk

The lock and unlock buttons on the dash stopped working too after install so don’t know how that happened haha.

If the pump only has a spout with no rubber boot touching the car fuel port, and you're having pump cut-off issues then you might have a problem with the car's evap system, i.e., the charcoal canister filter is failing or clogged. Yes this unit works with both RHD and LHD. You re-use the factory sport/ice/etc buttons and face plate.

Not sure what pedal responder you have but if you are happy with it then great! I trust FD's system because they are reputable experts in Maserati and Ferrari.

It does not claim to increase torque or HP but in my experience shared in the video it seems to give a 15-20% boost. But, this is just my butt-in-seat data.

@@maseratimods I agree with Rett. I just installed mine and wow what a difference! Almost dangerous at first until you get used to the quick response to driver inputs. It says it doesn't increase horsepower, but like Rett says, you definitely feel that there's a lot more power, even if there isn't. I highly recommend this upgrade. The car is even more fun to drive if you can imagine that.

Hmmm. Is a Maserati GT sport owner I feel that Maserati did a great job in terms of sport mode respons the problem is top speed, horsepower and torque. In my opinion any device that does not drastically improve those areas is a waste of time.

@@endshadow7066 I agree the factory sport mode setting was done well. But if you wanna be able to GO when you push the pedal down without a delay and the drama, esp in touring mode, the drive-by wire enhancement module absolutely works. Plus it makes the sport mode even more aggressive. In the Maserati community I really haven’t heard of anyone that installed this who didn’t love it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Formula dynamics makes a ECM tune that increases BHP and torque, but only moderately.

Yes, totally. Never had any issues. So far, I've been able to do all maintenance myself. Actually not a difficult car to work on.

Thanks for your feedback. That's actually just a reflection at the top of the steering wheel, I only have leather. I haven't seen a chrome piece sold for that.
