BMW GSA - Lone Rider Luggage - Full Set Up
I would even say that to unveil the full potential of the D7 Pro it takes not 3 but 4 channels. Mine are mounted like that anyway. Recap : If you use the four white lights only on both side as DRL, and use the full power (yellow + white) as high beam, so far so good, it takes two channels only if it is all you want to do. On top of this if you want the yellow light ones to flash on one side when the turn signal is on (and the white ones stay on on both sides as DRL or full beam), then it takes 3 channels all together. In this setting the flashing yellow turn signal is unfortunately diluted into the white lights. Or else with the same setting (3 channels) you can also decide to cancel both DRL (or full beam) on both sides when turning to make the yellow turn signal show up better. But then you are blind and not seen any more as you don’t have any D7 pro lights on except for the yellow ones on one side. Here comes the bonus of 4 channels; when the turn signal is activated on one side, the 3 yellow horizontal lights flash AND the 4 white ones are cancelled, whereas on the other side the DRL or full beam status stays on. This gives you a very sharp and better noticeable turn signal on the turning side, while keeping the DRL or the full beam on on the other side. I hope this makes sense.
too bad that lonerider is illegal in my country (unless you are stupid rich or know people in power)
Over 50 percent of the video is nothing but you talking BS. Waste of my time
Thank you for watching and commenting :-)
Good review 👏 got a Black Friday deal on the rackless panniers 👍 one question is that a givi trekker 58l? Was wondering how much room there is with that top box to get access to the panniers i.e. the top box would not go over top of the panniers would they? Cheers 👌
With the larger topbox there will always be some overlap, however the MotoBags are flexible and work really well to still get items in and out We have since upgraded to the new LoneRider MotoCase topbox
@ Cheers I’ve ordered the large 57 L motocase as well, just wanted to know if it overlaps the panniers!
They don't do a Motocan for the Multistrada do you get the speed sensitive function on the centre light with a standard EZCan module?
There will be a range of new MotoCan devices coming out later in 2025. However if you have an EZCan Gen2 then it can work for you yes
i have one for my e bike just the d1000
Fantastic locks!
Really amazing presentation...
Thank you for the comment and for watching the video - please subscribe and share to help our channel
The two sets of spotlights you installed are theoretically not enough for one set of controllers. Do you have two ezcan controllers installed on your motorcycle?
Yes for this demonstration we had two controllers / the Denali D7 pro took up 3 channels alone
Spot on video. Looks like you get a good “workout” from it 👍😉
Yes I do indeed lol thank you for watching and commenting
Great video and thanks much for the comparison. I have a follow up question. If i were to get the Lonerider bundle with Motocan, can i still use the other 2 of 3 circuits for a Denali Soundbomb horn and B6 brake lights ? I ask as I’ve read the other way on Denali’s Cansmart is not compatible for non Denali products.
Hi and thank you for watching the video and commenting Great news - the other three circuits are yours to use as you wish - I have already used the others for a Soundbomb and b6 brake light
@@MidlandsMotorbikers - Awesome. Thank you so much for clarifying. Appreciate it.
Great video. Thanks for helping me to not get lube all over my bike!
Glad to help!
I did add the D7Pros to my 1300GSA but really like what Lone Rider did to improve these lights.
100% a great improvement in the lighting game - the LoneRiders are the way to go now for the top of the range lights
Did you also replace the front turn indicators on your GS? If so, what aftermarket brand did you chose?
No these are the standard indicators for the 2022 GSA
Never buy first edition. Wait for a couple of years they will tweak it close to perfection
LoneRider don’t release a product until it is spot on……
Can you use these Lone Rider Moto lights with the CanSmart controller Gen 2 from Denali?
Unfortunately not - the Denali CanSmart Controller doesn’t currently support the EZBus technology
@@MidlandsMotorbikers thx! 👍
Los Focos Lone Rider! tiene muchas funciones sin perder potencia de luminosidad y el look que tiene, están geniales!

Love those lights just finding it hard to justify the price
Black Friday sale starts now…. 20% off…. Click here: www.lonerider-motorcycle.com/?rfsn=6635118.f6a7dd
I ordered thé first hour they went online on Black Friday. Big Rock Moto did a great review on UA-cam, not to forget the first LoneRider Motolights vidéo, which was eye watering. I believe they are well worth the $600 of Black Friday. Security is priceless, with these lights, you will see, and you will be seen! I anyway already have had the HexEzCAN for 4 years.
@@DakarBluescompletely agree
Cracking video! Nice and simple easy steps. I personally needed a heads up on the step through. Cheers! ✨👍
Glad it helped!
Great video. Re: the motolights: I m probably missing something, how to activate the spot lights? I can see you can go full beam (beast mode) then wide, then ring light, but how to activate the spot lights?? Thanks a lot
If you are running the latest software you can now choose when the center spot light comes on (either with full beam or with speed blending)
@@MidlandsMotorbikers thanks! hence using the modulation function
This is one of most beautiful thing I like in bmw and those lights make like the beast.....❤❤❤
Thank you for your comment - we love them too!
Are the leathers fully CE approved, or is it just the armour that is?
Arn stuff is fully approved
The suits look good - how weather proof are they and are they armoured?
Full CE level 2 armour and AA/AAA rated (depending on what you choose) it’s designed to allow air through with the perforated leather so it’s not a “rainy day” suit but perfect for summer
AES FX3 Biled Laser is much better ... if you can please make a comparison video
Hello and thank you for the comment however this isn’t a brand or model we have heard about before…. You say they are better, can you tell us how/why?
@@MidlandsMotorbikers actually its a car fog light .. and I have custom fitted into my bike . i found out that its better than Morimoto Bi-LED and JW Speakers evo series.. i was using Morimoto bixenon from 2009 ... the AES was inferior product in the Bixenon era but the new AES bi-LED Laser are so good . the low beams are so wide with perfect cutoff and the high beams are exceptionally good... the Clearwater light even cant match the Morimoto Bi-LED so I am quite confident that D7 pro cant match new gen Bi-LED Laser ..

Hello, I’ve been looking for a comparison between these two products since the Lone Rider hit the market. I came across your video, and it’s the most realistic, honest, and detailed one I’ve seen so far. Thank you for that.! However, there is still one topic that remains unclear to me. The Denali D7 fills the sides of the road significantly when at 20% brightness in DRL mode. But the performance of the Lone Rider at night with 20% DRL is still a mystery. I would greatly appreciate it if you could make a video on this topic when you have time. Thank you in advance.
Thank you for your feedback and comment I appreciate that and glad it was good for you. The LoneRiders have a fantastic pattern with the lower four floodlights and their purpose and design is to do just that - flood the floor in front and around you - we have plans for some detailed videos coming soon….
It looks iconic. I was brought up playing with Tonya toys, so I love the looks!
It is certainly a modern looking machine!
That's one superb review, thanks a bunch! Would have loved to see the practical view while riding at night but no worries!
Coming soon….
Great video and well worth watching. I've recently taken delivery of the MotoLights. I've also ordered a pair of Denali T3 rear pods. As I understand it, you can add up to 16 accessories onto the white ezBUS circuit, as long as you don't exceed the maximum draw. I going to try to daisy-chain the T3's onto the white ezBUS circuit with an additional Y-splitter. If that doesn't work, I still have the three spare ports on the MotoCAN (ezCAN).
Yes that’s correct! Would love to know how you get on!
Great Review ... many thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Love this ❤
Is that oliver….
Can you turn on just the wide beams on the moto lights from the switch gear of GS whereas the entire light can still turn on with high beams?
We have personalise this set up so the bottom Four only come on at dusk or darker situations at 10% but you can personalise and set yours up however you like as well
@@MidlandsMotorbikers I don't want it ON at dusk necessarily as I also ride around town and just the DRL looks better for that but during rides I want to turn on the wide beam from switch gear. Is this possible?
@ ah yes you can with the OEM BMW wonderwheel Hold it left for 3seconds to enter adjustment mode and then spin the wheel forwards or backwards adjust the lights intensity by 10% steps
@@MidlandsMotorbikersthis is the exact same question that I had, and I’m sure others will be wondering the same. It’d still be good to see some sort of definitive clarification with regards to controlling the function of the lights when on the move. How’s it all done? Many thanks 👍🏻
Hello together A great comparison of the two auxiliary headlights. But I have another question: which windscreen is fitted to the GS? Greetings from Greece
Thank you! This is the Puig touring tinted screen with additional clip on at the top
The best over explanation I have seen on UA-cam. Can't wait to take delivery of my Moto lights next month 😊
Glad it was helpful for you - we are fitting lots of these for customers so if you have any questions just drop us a message
Can the D7s be used with the DialDim?
Yes they can but not with the full functionality - drop us a message if you want to learn more!
Kinda fun watching someone else on youtube clean a chain
Thank you for watching
Need to know what works best riding at night in dipped beam that won't blind incoming cars. Don't care about being seen, all about seeing without dazzling others.
Then the MotoLights are 100% for you They keep the lights on a flood floor pattern until you put the full beam on.
Stats say its 1kg heavier than 1250 GSA but did it feel heavier, lighter or same riding it? Thank you for your extensive experience.
Honestly it felt extremely familiar in weight but weirdly it was easier to manoeuvre than the 1250
@@MidlandsMotorbikers Thank you.
You think the screen winglets are working in town limits? 70mph+ - maybe. A ride round the suburbs is pretty lame, but hey - you HAD to get something out there, eh?
Thank you for your valued comments
Great review. But £23000 and the shaft drive is a consumable at the owners expense. No thank you
What was it that impressed you? He rode it through the town and suburbs!
Thank you for opinions, it is a steep price but the riding experience won it for me
My thoughts? You want my thoughts? Where the heck are the night shots? They’re lights - and this is a “review”. How did you not compare them AT NIGHT?? 🤔
Thank you for the comments - this will be part two of the video - keep your eyes peeled for the results
I’ve got one of these, one criticism is it’s hard to get the poles out of the sleeves when the tent is wet. I only disconnect the inner tent if the tent is wet, so it keeps dry until deploying the tent at the next camp spot. It’s a good idea to pitch the tent with the narrow end into the wind. Pitch it so you get the morning sun. Out of my collection of tents this is my favourite to use if I’m going to be in a campsite for more than one night. The vestibule is brilliant to sit in and prepare meals.
Fantastic comments thank you for your feedback
hi. do you have anything showing what the lone-rider beam looks like at night. i am especially interested in the lower 4 leds - can i run them all the time or would it upset oncoming traffic?
Thank you for the comments, and this will be part two which is coming soon!
Hi would these lights work with thunder Box?
Although they may work, they won’t have any additional functions. They are designed to work with the controller (MotoCan) so you can achieve the functions (DRL, Indicators, full beam etc)
Thanks for replying. Bro

Thank you Rich, it was our first time using the Insta360 with Sena connection so we were still learning.
@@MidlandsMotorbikers ah fair enough, it was mainly the first bits, but congrats 🙌. Only mentioned as I do it professionally, you want the best possible 🔥
looks shite, you have just got done no miles but rave about just for content, I've done over quarter million miles on gs and gsa so tend to have a valued opinion
Thank you for the comment however have you rode one? I’ve rode GS and GSA for years now and this test ride was enough for me to comment on how different it was instantly….. go ride one and see for yourself :-) then come back and tell me
@@MidlandsMotorbikers I agree. I rode one today and was amazed at just how good it was. Just for the record I’ve had about 10 gs/gsa over the years and currently ride a year old 1250 gsa
@ it’s a big step up isn’t it?
@@MidlandsMotorbikers just watching your video now, and your comment about the quick shifter is very true. I was looking to get an ASA version having ridden a 1300GS ASA but now having tried the ‘clutched’ version on the GSA the gear change using the shifter is so much better I’ve decided to save the hundreds on the ASA and just get the normal ‘clutched’ version. 😊
@ the money you have saved you could bring it to me and get some nice upgrades or ceramic coating…..
Goes great but looks like a turd 👍 And the price now..... hmmm . " Is it worth upgrading "? For me, a clear NO. And we dont yet know what faults will show up, considering what the std one has experienced. Even if I could get past the looks I would likely wait a year until problems are resolved. Personally 😉
Thank you for your opinion and comments - have you rode one?
@@MidlandsMotorbikers no plan to, it will go as great as something this price should but not some great leap over the 1250 and the looks are a killer for me, the extra technology I can just about manage without too 😉
@@GPR111 if you rode it you would see/feel the difference….. but each to their own
Hello Can you describe the size difference between it and the 1250 GSA? Do you think it appears too small in front of the 1250 GSA, like the 1300 GS, but with a rectangular tank? Thnx PS: You have the option to create a video about that, as many people are curious about its size....
Great idea - let’s see what we can do
@@MidlandsMotorbikers Cool. Assuming you haven't replied the question I believe the video will arrive soon, thnx :)
