CS2 and 4 were my favorites. I wasn't a fan of CS and their "here's everyone and their name" style for those endings and all the alt openings.

Bros we are almost there for Daybreak. I never imagined coming from Sky part one, hearing I’d never get the sequel, now getting Daybreak. Hearing the opening to Sky one to this now makes me so happy to be apart of this. It’s happening, we are gonna make it bros.

Man even after playing Kuro no Kiseki II Crimson Sin, Falcom's OPs are always full of spoilers so I never watch it before playing/finnishing the game 😂
A lot of the time you don't know they're spoilers until you actually know the context. Azure Evo doesn't do this.

I genuinely prefer the evolution credits songs for zero and azure evolution . The visuals for the og are better though. We also got the superior fake out credits cold steel 2. The Japanese don't even got to experience that unfortunately. And I don't think the Chinese releases had that either. I wish they had done the same for cold steel 4!
@@OJvdH Those fake out endings only work because of the fact there's true endings to those games. Would love for them to do that again.

Lol is it just me or starting thr kuro series, seems like falcom is no longer focus on the music? I started to play kiseki series because of the music at first. Sad i can seems to enjoy the music...
I disagree, I think the Kuro OPs are the best in the series without question. I think it's just different styles, they're taking a different style with the music and you don't like that style.
So there was a huge blowup in 2015-while Tokyo Xanadu was in production (between CS2 and CS3)-where Falcom's owner Masayuki Kato sabotaged a Falcom JDK Band concert because he got paranoid and thought the company hosting the concert was plotting against him. The whole JDK Band quit, and most of the Japanese VGM industry boycotted Falcom as a consequence, and the boycott is still ongoing. They assembled a new band, but since then, Falcom has started losing staff composers to attrition and can't find anyone willing to work for them as a staff composer anymore, and the only contractors willing to work for them now (except Jindo who has somehow stuck around despite being good enough to get work at a company who won't sabotage their musicians) are small fries without much professional reputation or self-respect who can't get hired anywhere else. IIRC they're down to one staff composer now and two contractors who do regular work for them. They had another staff composer, Takahiro Unisuga, but he's also the company's sysadmin and when covid hit, he had to give up composing so he could devote himself 100% to setting up and maintaining Falcom's WFH systems. What you're seeing in Daybreak is the complete lack of Unisuga and nobody to replace him.

Great video, I like how you used the original japanese openings instead of the newer KAI versions. My only problem was with the Trails of Cold Steel III and IV opening not being the original versions, and also with the missing Nayuta one. Maybe for the next version.
These all have the Japanese titles, which is a little distracting for me.

Most EVO Opening are fine, but SC EVO Opening is WTF? Some scenes put together without making any sense at all and why they Estelle like falling for 30 seconds. Also where is Zin and Walter?and most horrendous is Estelle hair and face? (also the others)

the trails in the sky, touching story even lasts in the zero and azure series, with thr power of controlling all the causality and its result, so touching and reversed stroy based of the full of sadness story that we even can't hate the enemies. so touching

I'm still baffled how they totally left out Agate and Zin (hell, poor Walter too) in the Sky SC Evo OP, and in addition decided they'd rather spoil one of the most emotionally impactful scenes of the Sky Trilogy, maybe even the whole Trails series. Like... why would you do that? 😭

I'm only up to Zero, but I love this series so much. I've yet to beat one in under 150hrs. Its so great following all the NPCs stories, even across arcs. I've cried twice so far, I've laughed, smiled a ton, passed out while playing. I'm actually thankful to the pandemic for giving me the time to start & get hooked when before I kept starting and stopping and not quite getting it because it was so much reading, and so little was happening in FC

the JRPG series with the best OPs IMO
Sky trilogi ORI, crosbell duology ORI, CS1 & CS2 OP are the best. Their 2D live is fits well with the music and theme of game. Meanwhile CS3 & CS4 is pretty meh, their animation is low compared to YS8 even though same studio and the music OP make it worse. For Hajimari and Kuro just normal, not good not bad. But still the music just..... haha
