Once had this situation in a shop. The cashier spoke good Dutch so I spoke Dutch to her. Then after a bit of talking cause I wanted to return a piece of clothing I realised she sometimes spoke English to. Stil I talked to her in Dutch and to this day I am confused of how I almost didn’t notice her talking English😅
