I love these mods that totally destroy the graphics of the game, original half life 2, sober compact graphics, high artistic level, crazy textures, Half life 2 remastered = pompous, dirty, technically identical, wrong textures, exaggerated color saturation, maximum contrast, literally disgusting.

Hate to sound corny……but that intro gave me IMMEDIATE flashbacks and nestalgia. 😂😂😂 woa!! Just hearing “rise and shine” “Wake up and smell the ashes” gave me chills. I wasn’t prepared for that lol I can’t even think how many years it’s been. And it brought me right back. 😵‍💫😵‍💫

i dont think you realize how lackluster the "remastered" subtitle is next to black mesa, not good clickbait considering the game had an update called "black mesa: remastered" like 2 years ago. not only is it misleading, its stupid, tone down the bloom in your reshade too, it looks like ass. also just realized you called this a walkthrough? all you did was play through the game at a slow pace, no actual insight or walking through. this website is in the fucking dumpster

Half Life 2 is not even that good to be honest... the whole boat and car gameplay sucks ass... wonder why Half Life 3 takes so long !

I think that whoever creates these mods doesn't have the slightest aesthetic sense, crazy saturation, terrible colors, textures which, although perhaps more defined, are not in the slightest comparable to those of Half Life 2, guys, the original game has a well-defined artistic line and cared for, it's not enough to install two pieces of bullshit to outclass in 2025 the work that Valve did in 2004, and it's not a matter of taste, this remastered is OBJECTIVELY inferior to the original game, if you really want to improve, that masterpiece of Half Life 2, I advise you to use reshade, sparingly, if you want I created my own little preset, which does not distort the original game at all but gives it a decidedly more modern touch.

Yeah this is the only way I was able to play halflife 2 anymore, the cinematic mod has this option to have cinematic music that I actually prefer vastly over the original, the fact the mod author actually took the time to break down music from the dark night movie, and making it into a dynamic adaptive layered track that constantly builds up and dies down with the combat and calm sections, is just, *chefs kiss*, such and under appreciated mod.

I love so much this game🤩 You are good gamer🤘

The new half life 2 RTX should be released soon so that’ll be nice! Otherwise this would be like the only way to play a higher quality of half life 2
