Just wait until the enemy casts 1000 needles, you may need to defend or pass a few turns for them to do it. At this stage of the game it will 100% kill one character, just defeat the enemy and revive your ally once the battle is done.

or you could manipulate the enemy and make them cast 1000 needles, you need the beastmaster job ability to be able to do this. Hope this helps

Thanks, now I think I have to to the airport or spark mandrill. Here’s a trick one trick I remember doing once. If you have X arm cannon upgrade and defeated sting chameleon go to storm eagles flying ship. Before entering the ship to detonate the platform full charge sting chameleons weapon. There’s a surprise where you should be invincible for the boss fight.

Hi, you need to control the enemy. Make sure you got the Control ability from the Beastmaster job (level 2 ability from Beastmaster) and you can control the enemy and make it use the ability on your blue mage. Let me know if it works.
