Retired bus driver.
I am a gear junkie. I love to play guitar.
I have not met a guitar I didn’t like.
Guitars and amps all have a good story that comes with them.
I am not a professional musician. I wanted to clear that up right away.
I have enjoyed playing with many other players.
Thanks for checking out my channel.

How much do you need to spend on a good guitar?
Do you need a two thousand dollar guitar or is a three hundred and fifty dollar guitar just as good?

If a bass is playable and stable, I change and optimize whatever I like. 😁 I hope you'll have great holidays! 🎅🎄
@@ThunderBassistJay You as well.
How is it stacking against your other electrics?
@@zaccarter3801 I like them all. The Gibson is something I always wanted. Because it’s a Studio it’s not that expensive. I will be 69 soon, so I waited long enough.😁
I agree with you 100% , "Who playin it".

Use to own that exact amp , new from factory and when I put my volume level @ .5 it sounded like I jacked volume up to level 5 volume 🤬 , Yes f**kn loud .. Granted I didn’t own any pedals , computers or attenuator at that time to help assist lowering the that powerful volume level. Had to sell it to afford my 500 mile move otherwise I still would have kept it , oh well ,💩 happens.. I will always ❤️ that fender frontman 100w , 2x12 amp!
@@Mrtn-gi6mp Thanks for checking in. Sorry you had to part ways with your amp. I got all my toys late in life. Kinda the same difference in a way. I was in my fifties when I started acquiring gear. I am 68 and I finally got my first real Gibson Les Paul. Have fun play guitar when ever you can.
Great tone! And awesome axe collection!

Why buy Chinese, Indonesia crap copies which don't last sound tinny, i have Real Les Paul guitars which soung magic , thats why they're expensive, so guitars made in far east countries are for poor kids only
Typical cork sniffer sentiment. 😅
Its raining there will be pee on the carpet today.🤣
I can agree to that. One Les Paul for each task mom down! Now I need to go get another one damn you! lol.
I just got another one. It’s on my channel. A Gibson Les Paul Studio.
Where did you get this guitar ?
@@antoniobarrera1983 Reverb, I think.
@ I thought about buying it from amazon lately it would have not have any issues?
@@antoniobarrera1983 There many different versions of the same guitar. Mine is an Indonesian copy. Nicely made, about 12 years old.
God willing YES! 🙌 🙏

Whatcha doing? Practicing..... .
I have a the same breed and I'm also a guitarist.. I take mine gigging with me and he's a great mascot and protector. I actually came to find this video because my dog is meant to be an English printer spaniel but he's too tall and too big to be one. And some people have told me he must be a munsterlander. I think they are right.
@@georgettehiltonmusic2401 mine is an American Brittany. He is a tricolor. Liver orange and white.
People ask me if he is a munsterlander. Mine has a much different color and marking typical of Brittanys. There are also French Brittanys too. They look like my dog too.
Time to throw the Epi’s in the dumpster!!!

All three equal a Gibson Les Paul Standard🤷🏻♂️
@@bobbycody1247 Not exactly. A standard is $3000.00 My three add up to $2700.00 So I still got lunch money.
Can’t go wrong with that Ax bro. 👍
I’m very old, but years ago, one could buy a lovely early-60s serial number Strat for $300-400 w/case - I was actually a bass-player in an 8-piece Chicago/Tower Of Power-style band and played a Hofner violin bass that was actually older than Paul’s Hofner, but still sounded cool through my old VOX Essex bass amp - after a while I traded the Hofner for a beautiful new ‘73 Fender Pre and graduated to a twin-JBL D140F folded-horn cabinet driven by a Dynaco monoblock 60W tube amp with a built in custom solid-state pre-amp - that rig kicked ass anywhere we played, but after a few years I realized I could actually play guitar better than most of the guys I played bass for - so I traded my gear for an old Marshall 50W head and a 4-12 cabinet and bought a ‘62 Strat, but I just didn’t have the talent to control the Strat with that amp and bought a ‘used 65 SG with the stock vibrola and taught myself guitar well enough to start my own band but I soon realized I couldn’t get the sound I wanted from the SG.. and one night on my way home from work (I was leasing a huge house in the suburbs and rented out rooms to the guys I wanted in my band and used the downstairs suite for jamming) I stopped by a local music shop where they had just taken delivery of a new sunburst ‘76 Les Paul Custom that had been shipped to them by mistake.. it was beautiful and when I picked it up, it actually felt better than it looked - so I whipped out my credit card and bought the thing, right there long story longer, I soon found a Marshall JTM45 head with it’s original 8-10” cabinet and we were off!! I was 21 at the time and within a year we had a 4-piece rock band and a booking agent.. and you MUST work to find a decent lead singer! (we also had a ‘48 International Harvester school bus that we decked out for travelling with our gear and sleeping in - which saved us a fortune on 2 and 3-night weekend gigs out of town) I didn’t use any guitar pedals because the Custom into the Marshall had a fantastic sound, and just used the pickup selector and volume and tone pots to get pretty much any sound I was looking for - if you have to rely on pedals, you’ll only showcase what a lousy player you are I began buying old electric Gibson guitars and soon learned how to find what I was looking for: you sell off all the crap gear you don’t need or want, and you save the money until you have a bit to play with - then you put an ad in your local paper (now it’s gonna be craigslist or reverb, etc.) that you know will at least hit your local market that states: “CASH FOR BEST LES PAUL STANDARD must be original, with hard case, etc” and then you wait - and you keep playin’ that rock ‘n roll AND saving as much cash as you can and DON’T waste your money on cheap guitars you don’t really need you’d be surprised at the calls or emails you will get - you want to pay just a bit more than a pawnshop - and forget trading in your gear at the big guitar stores and their lousy trade-in values meanwhile you should keep visiting the big guitar stores and trying out the models that suit you - if you want a REAL Les Paul, then DON’T waste your time and money on an Epiphone or a Les Paul Studio, Tribute, etc. because they’re just too hard to get your money back out of them.. and they look like crap IMHO you get yourself a REAL Les Paul Standard or Custom, because it’ll have fret-end binding, a proper carved maple top, good-quality frets, pickups and wiring, etc etc - and you’ll never look back - if you look after it and DON’T put in different pickups, etc it will last you decades and always sound like a Les Paul, PLUS you can always ask top dollar for it if you fall on hard times or get cancer like I did the only exception to this would be a Les Paul Special with P90 pickups - I own one and they sound great!! the reason I recommend a Les Paul is because once you set them up properly, they’ll NEVER need a “fret job” or “dressing” - and sound great through most any decent amp, especially in a live situation under lights in a crowded club one way to figure the price is to start by offering the seller half of what you think you can get for it should you have to sell it - just remember that you’re the guy with the cash that somebody else needs at the time and if you wait, you’ll usually get the guitar you want if you edge out the pawnshops and don’t try gouging anybody good luck!!
@@FirstLast-nt6hu That’s some good advice. If I was a youngster that would be marching orders. I will be 69 soon. I retired from the race. Now I just have fun and play guitar. I get a kick outta all my guitars. My grandson will get all my stuff. If he wants it. He can sell it all for lunch money if he wants to. Thanks for stopping in. ⭐️⭐️⭐️👍🏻
I’m not suggesting anybody should necessarily buy a new Les Paul - but as far as QC issues go, specifically what are the problems? I have a really nice Standard that’s about 5 years old and it’s a really nice guitar!! As far as PRS goes, aren’t they mostly 24-fret guitars? In that case, you’ll never get a decent sound out of the rhythm pickup because it’s been moved closer to the treble pickup to make space for those extra two frets!! try comparing a Les Paul with any 24-fret electric and you’ll hear it - if you can’t then it doesn’t matter, i guess!! remember than Lester P was a JAZZ player!! which is why the Les Paul is so versatile btw, if you ever get a chance, try playing a Les Paul Supreme - I have one and it has a carved top AND a carved back!! it’s super comfy to play and has a fantastic sound - it’s all Les Paul - but even more so!!
@@FirstLast-nt6hu ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅👍🏻👌🏻🎶
I have a few Gibson and Epiphone Les Pauls. I had to pass on a beautiful unplayed 1994 black Gibson studio with case for $700. That killed me.
