A big Mac is two 0.1 lb patties, and that weight is prior to cooking. So not even a quarter pound before being George Foreman fried. I used to work at McDonald's and did the burger patties often. The 10:1 patties are one tenth of a pound. They used to have Angus patties that were the best and 1/3 lb. each, but they always took too long to cook (~6 minutes) and didn't have as much fat so they dried out more quickly and had to be thrown away if nobody bought them quickly enough, even after double or triple-punching the warming tray timer, so I think that's why they axed them. The double quarter pounder is the best burger they have at this moment.
