The "mark" on the piston face is an indicator showing the correct orientation of the piston in the cylinder. The mark points down towards the oil basin, if the piston is installed upside down you would not be able to get the cam and oil slinger arm installed. Just a little info for those that with inquiring minds.

To anyone who's bought one of these recently I would highly recommend just bypassing the factory fuel tank & adding a boat style tank directly to the carb. I'm on my 2nd one in the last couple years because the factory tanks rust. I've got less than 40 hrs on my newest one, never ran ethanol and it's already rusting pretty badly. I've got the warranty so I can exchange it when the time comes but I'd be incredibly pissed if I spent that amount of $ only for it to not work in 2 years.
