Excellent video
@@emamhossan3673 thank you!
To be kind, being direct and clear is not sufficient. You can be direct, clear and rude at the same time. Being kind is the opposite of being rude. It means showing empathy.
Absolutely - in this short clip it doesn't speak to the whole definition of kindness. I also talk about caring personally and challenging directly when we are being kind. We care personally (with compassion) and we challenge directly - we say what we need to say and not shying away from necessary conversations, especially when they are difficult. Definitely not advocating for rudeness. I dive into it in the full podcast episode and I will be releasing a podcast dedicated to "Being Kind vs Being Nice" which will go deeper into the distinction and which situations call for which approach. I hope that clarifies :)
@@tashpietersethanks for clarifying
@@1acecad You're welcome :)
This is actually useful. I did exactly this, unconsciously, before a speech that I gave. I did not have a moment of doubt during the speech.
It is such a powerful practice isn’t it!
...continue...
You can catch the rest on the podcast linked in the description 😊
