    1) my credit card company charges merchants about 3% to accept the card which merchants are now charging me. I don't get 3% in "reward points" so the card is costing me money. I don't use it therefore. 2) unless you pay off the credit card by the due date you are charged whopping interest. So no thank you.

    Built up 32 nights free after figuring costs as well with both my wife and I using multiple AE cards and Chase. Get the points then move points to hotel accounts, then cancel the cards. Next year we will focus on airlines.

      @wanderwithbree Місяць тому

      Interesting! Will you choose airlines cards?

    • @TheMcGrews
      @TheMcGrews Місяць тому

      Yep. Plan is to figure out destinations first way in advance then open appropriate airline cards. By the way, just because you have a Platinum AE doesn’t mean you can’t open a business AE and get bonus points. Also, great way to get cards if you have an Experian account (everyone should given so much fraud) is you sign into Experian and they link cards you can automatically sign up for there and get bonus offers. Easy.

      By the way I watch you Google My Trip video. Doesn’t quite work when hitting 20 cities over 6 weeks. I create my plan in text file, then when done copy it to word. Add Google maps links to the locations, restaurants, etc. Then color all reservation times in Red BOLDED. Photos of tickets, can be inserted. Then mail to yourself and save in Apple Notes the document. This way you get the google maps links imbedded and a chronological listing of each day. The problem with Google My Maps is you don’t get a chronological listing by day. You can export it but it becomes a giant mess to rework. Easy to pull up Notes any time.

    Good content! I read a study that found ChatGPT gave better responses when you are polite, but I haven't tested it, I just apply please and format prompts as requests. Your sound balance needs a little work. I don't know if it is mic positioning/aiming or something in the recording software, but the first 5 minutes had an almost regular 1 second pan between good volume and too quiet for me. I haven't had this issue with my Blue Snowball mic and OBS Studio for either streaming or local recording. Your intro could be tighter, before getting to the meat of the topic, but for starting out I'm sure this will get smoother as you get comfortable and/or get tighter editing. You are doing great!

    I wish you all the best with your channel. Some hopefully constructive feedback: you needed 2 minutes to get into the topic, then more than another minute to tell when Chat GPT started. I am someone who looks for new information and normally if I don't get a bit of an information for such a long time, I don't stay on it. I don't like to watch more than 20 minutes for listening 5 minutes into something I already knew after the title. Also: you go back and forth from the mic, it is not easy to listen because the sound changes the whole time because of the wrong use of the mic. Long words, but I mean it well, especially because I am also just starting a channel ;-)

    Hi All! Please note that I'm trying my best to pronounce the names of areas/countries/etc. correctly and with respect. One note: in America, we typically pronounce Rwanda WITH the "w" sound - however, I realized that Rwandans say it like "Rhonda." As long as we're all approaching our travel with respect for the local area, customs, language, I think we're on the right track. Thanks for being here and thanks for watching! <3

    I'm hesitant to rely on AI for detailed travel planning. I've tried Gemini for basic questions, but I'm not sure I trust it with the nitty-gritty. I wanted to try Layla, but the free trial was too short. I'm dreaming of a family trip to Europe next summer. I usually use UA-cam, Google Maps, Google Flights, and spreadsheets for planning, and while my traditional method is time-consuming, I love the process. I'm open to trying new tools and I'm fascinated by AI. Keep up the great work, Bree!

    I agree that nukes are bad but using the bomb actually saved lives on both sides , when you have a culture like the Japanese empire of the time that was so brainwashed into believing it was better to die then surrender that means putting boots on the ground of Japan would have meant fight every man woman and child to the death and how many Americans would have died as well it would have been worse by far then it was with the bomb , also remember they started the war with America and towards the ends we asked them to surrender several times and they refused.

    • @wanderwithbree
      @wanderwithbree Місяць тому

      I appreciate your perspective on the use of nuclear weapons in World War II. As a pacifist, I focus on minimizing human suffering. While some argue that the bombings ended the war and saved lives, we must consider the immense civilian loss and long-term impacts. Reflecting on these events can help us learn to resolve conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy. Thank you for engaging in this conversation; respectful dialogue helps us promote peace 🕊️
