Special note… the great Jeff lo Davis did not play on this album . On the shouting part I just was playing and used some phrases I learned from the Godfather of the drums,The late Jeff lo Davis 🙏🏾
Whenever Jeff Davis played on an album he would have all the drummers at home practicing what he did.

I am a huge fan of Jeff Davis. He is the Godfather of Modern Gospel drumming. My drum teacher made me listen to and study Jeff Davis songs. He was the perfect drummer. He did everything clean.

Yes On purpose it was a challenge that us drummers are doing called metric modulation, meaning shifting the center of music with pivots and tempo but still in a 4/4 timing.
