@@marisaroeder5834 omg..so sorry. Just saw your message. Use a diamond file or Dremel to sand the sides smooth. Or put the pieces in a tumbler to smooth

Not sure I understand your ? But the raw edges of mesh and substrate will be cut to fit the glass mosaic

Ohh I understand what you're asking now. So this panel is just one of many that go together to create an outdoor mural. The small open spots are for the fixings/ washer to screw into the vertical concrete wall.

Gosh...hard to say. Kinda depends on the actual piece. More thinset bed if you want the piece to have dimension...or if the bottom is curved. I use a mortar designed for large format tiles

Nope. The board is only a quarter inch thick. The black grout will stain the edges black. Can paint the edge too if you want

Thank you Nancy that’s what I was having trouble with the narrow edges and cutting tiles to fit. If you use paint can you just use acrylic or does it need to be oil based?
