Wow...the whiteout is complete here. They've virtually destroyed anything that made the house mid-century. The bathrooms are lost. The ceiling has been painted and probably the built-ins too. I would have loved to see the original instead of the crappy updated version.

If the builder is paying your commission, why would represent the buyers best interests?
@@studiofour8 except for the fact that the builder does factor into the price of the house the Realtor commission. Hardly a free service for the buyer. I have looked at new construction houses before and the builder was offering a substantial rebate for not using a so called buyer agent.
@@studiofour8 if the builder is willing to give me a rebate, then I would prefer to work directly with that person. So called buyer representation by a commissioned Real Estate salesperson is questionable at best.
@@jvolstad That may be the case with some smaller builders. However, most of the larger companies in our area do NOT offer rebates for unrepresented buyers. Indeed, commissions are factored in to the builders' cost, with no difference from a resale in that regard. Most builders recognize that Realtor partners are great sources for them, and in fact court and encourage the Realtors' involvement. Furthermore, most our our buyers see the value in the experience and representation that we offer, and end up glad for our guidance. As always, individual experiences vary. Now more than ever with inventory so low, a good buyer's agent should be exploring ALL options with their buyer clients.
