How did Vinnie Colleta wind up inking Grell so often?

I loved Grell's work on the LSH, but still missed Dave Cockrum. Cockrum was never better than on LSH. He was suited both to Science Fiction and Super Heroes and he never quite had anything that was so truly both..

Ways to fix writer's block: - try turning the author off and back on again - let them talk, they might talk themselves out of their own mess - if they're crying, put them in a bag of rice - say "give up then" in a comforting way and watch them get back to work out of sheer spite.

Man. this gives me flashbacks to when I tried, and failed, to get into comics in the early 90's. So many mixed feelings. I'm glad you made it. Mike S., Your skill at 14 was amazing.

Thanks for the great interview! I listen to every Jim Shooter interview I find. I started reading when he started as EIC. So his stories of Marvel's meteoric rise are complete nostalgia for me.

Had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Shooter, and shaking his hand this past weekend in Charlotte, North Carolina at the annual Heroes convention. PLEASE come back and run Marvel Comics!! 🙏

Nice that Mitch Hallock did a bit of a John Romita tribute at the top! Though I assume this was recorded before any of us knew of his passing.

If i could ask JS or others like him who have been part of the comic industry (and especielly worked for multiple companies) for a long time, I would ask if they were given the money to start a comic book company, and the rights to any comic book IPS (characters - worlds - relics - ...) they wanted for their universe what would his/their roster look like/be!!!

Mike Baron with a Bionic Arm ... now that is a story I'd read ...

Will have to listen to the Jim Shooter interview. As a kid growing up in the 70s, I remember hating (maybe too strong a word) Jim Shooter. However, looking back on it today, I couldn't tell you why. Now I think it was just something I and other kids my age picked up on and jumped on the band wagon without understanding why.

Digital comics just haven't been able to capture the magic of a comic in your hand ... yet. The experience on an iPad isn't terrible. The experience on a PC still is. Maybe eventually it will. There's also that feeling of NOT OWNING Anything in digital that makes me shiver. I like that I bought books and can pick them up again to read them again.

This is great! I have the die-cut Ferret #1, had the honor to be drawn as a gun running bad guy in later issues that gets killed, Dean likes to use his friends as comic cannon fodder. 😀

they didnt want to publish Bane Conquest, but they had to. Graham and Chuck created Bane so I bet they were gonna get it published somewhere else. DC panicked and said no. than caved?
