It's kind of hard to end dirty hits when there are a large amount of fans who encourage them and even celebrate potentially career-ending hits. I for one do not stand by any player that commits such an act on anyone else. In fact, full contact should be banned from the NHL permanently so the players have to rely purely on skill and ability to make mature plays to win games. If you have to take out players with dirty hits, you shouldn't be in the league period. I will always make that stance on it, as there are a handful of players in the league currently that should never have been included in the first place.
