In this video, I talk about the life of one of the greatest chess players of all time and analyze one of his games! Mikhail Tal was one of the best chess players in the history of the game. He became the world champion at the age of 23 and could not stand a game where he didn't sacrifice any piece! He played chess even when he was supposed to be in the hospital just a month before his death. "E...

Thank you for this video!! ❤ All the games in this video are legendary. 🔥 I can't figure out how one can calculate this well. That too without any modern training!!! Paul Morphy is a true genius🔥🔥 Hope I too can calculate moves someday lol.

The darkest moment in chess history is that Morphy was born 50 years before the game got a real recognition and actual masters attended to it, like Lasker, Steinitz, Alekhine, etc. Imagine Morphy against them, dude was too broken for his times

I'm sure he was a gifted player, and these games are beautiful, but in the end, he was playing against his uncle, a semi-amateur. I think if he had faced strong players like Kasparov, Fischer, or Magnus, they would have defeated him easily.

4:46 isn't that how Levy mated an IM? in a different way, but still by a queen sacrifice and a rook-bishop

This was before the days of professional chess. It's hard to say if he was really that good or if he just hadn't very strong opponents.

Retiring at 22 is stupid even Magnusson beat everyone up to his 20s but he still plays and continues to improve and enjoy the game

I was lucky enough to play a session of blitz at 5-2 odds with Tal in 1988. He had a cigarette in one hand, a bottle of vodka in the other, and we had a fine time.

Fischer had a higher IQ back in the days he beat the best in the 🌎 world. Back in the days with no computer or help from a grandmaster. He learn how to play with no one teaching him.He would give Magnus a good fight. But you can't underestimate morphy. He quit chess because nobody beat him. And he die young.

TAL, NEZMEDHDINOV, MURPHY These guys are much better than Kasparov( dont forget last 10 years' AI and chess changed the GMs in a pisitive way, Tal, Nezmetdinov didnt have AI or computers!) They played amazing moves without losing. They were true legends would be always remembered with their games, which are ineffable joy to watch
