Who else was hoping to hear a reimagined version of this score for part 2? 😂
This is what I needed when I saw this film.
EPIC!
epic
✊ 0:09 GOOD OLE 0:06 SKIPPY 0:10 ✊
better then the real scene
I've come to watch that video again and now I'm learning the David Lynch is dead? WTH?
As it was written.
Whole body goosebumps, damn!
Suddenly this scene is good! The music is one of the failings of the new movies, sadly. Apart from the Arabic sounding lady shout and the Sardaukar chant, there's nothing about the soundtrack which is memorable. This damn guitar and choir swelling just proclaims victory like the angels sounding the final trumpet.
Steve Lukather of Toto
Good work. Definitely not enough Toto in the new ones.
Rest in peace David Lynch.
Yt restrictions vs Big anus thumbnail
The time between the invasion and paul becoming fremen is wayyyyy too short, why are they even waving Atreides flags? Where did they get them?
Definitely the better soundtrack.
I loved the first 2 and half books This was not it
Desert power
Why is this the most beautiful thing over ever witnessed.,let’s go gme
For Shai hulud
The one thing I prefer from the 1984 version is the soundtrack
I know Frank Herbert intended the Dune series to be a warning against charismatic leaders... but this makes me scream "MUAD'DIB! YA HYA CHOUHADAAAAAAAAAAAA!". That flag atop Shai-Hulud...
Amen
That guitar is what I always loved about that Dune. I mean, I like the movie just fine. But that score. Shame they didn't toss some homage into the new ones.
Thank you that is so much better!!!!
That raised the hairs on the back of my neck.
Hans Zimmer doesn't do film scores. He creates soundscapes. Thank god for John Williams.
Are they…..trying to fight these giant worms with swords?! Jesus christ….no wonder this movie sucked. That’s absolutely terrible.
All humans are doomed
Now edit in Kyle Mcloughlin and Sting over top of Timmy and Austin. Now you got yourself a Dune movie.
Happily met Kyle in October. I literally had to say "The sleeper has awakened!"
Just awesome!!
Approved!
I feel like I was the only one who was disappointed by this scene because the book described Fremen riding 20 worms wider than the eye could see and unimaginable chaos and we only got like four. Out of everything in the book, I figured most of the book is honestly unadaptable, but I thought at least this one scene, a visual spectacle would be something the movie could nail.
This is much better... toto had a better soundtrack than the new movie.
This part of the original movie's soundtrack is superior to both of Hans Zimmer's Dune scores combined.
Chills
I think that’s the biggest down side of the new movies vs Lynch’s classic…. The music was so hard hitting
Well, that just got 100% better
Glorious
Nice one.
Sooooo much better. I love Zimmer but why one of his weakest scores won an Oscar, Ill never understand.
fuck yeah
That guitar part from 1984 was Steve Lukather.
Power one and two were great films but they definitely missed an opportunity with this one
Still works, both original and remake both kick ass
its almost like.. it belongs there
Now add all the parts that explain what they're fighting about and why and see if you can get closer to a story that actually makes sense.
Improvement.
Instant improvement!
I mean, it kinda slaps. Of all the things about that old film that didn't work, the soundtrack wasn't one of them.
I still love the 80s dune movie! Even after reading all of the books
I really wish Jodorowsky's Dune would have gotten made. Imagine the mash up of the best bits from all three of the films.
